The piece is in great shape with normal wear of the years, also it has a mark as if at a time was folded. No signature visible. A great addition to your collection!! Michael Gentry was an American artist who studied all over the world, but is best known for his beautiful artwork portraying Native Americans from the middle 1800's. This beautiful print, titled "White Quiver And Scout" is numbered, artist signed and comes with a signed Certificate Of Authenticity. It was at some point in time, professionally framed and matted, but there is some damage to the wood of the frame and I have adjusted the price accordingly. This is a Special Limited Edition print, with this particular print being number 109 of 650.The overall framed artwork is 35 1/4" by 28 3/4", while the actual print size is 26" by 19".I have another, unframed print by Mr. Gentry entitled "With The Wind" that I will be listing very soon. That print is hand signed and bears one of Mr. Gentry's famous "Remarks"...very hard to find.   « Less

IN 1574, HE MOVED TO ITALY, TOURING FLORENCE AND ROME BEFORE EVENTUALLY SETTLING IN VENICE. HE BECAME A STUDENT OF KASPAR REMS BUT LATER DEVELOPED HIS OWN MANNERIST STYLE. IN 1588, HE RETURNED TO GERMANY WHERE HE BECAME A WELL KNOWN PORTRAIT PAINTER TO NOBLE HOUSES.IN 1592, HE WAS NAMED THE OFFICIAL PAINTER OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR, RUDOLF II.
