Notice the bowl with an elaborate metal lid with ceramic finial. Naturalistic motives and charming colors. Some of the pieces are marked on the bottom and reads " Made in Germany / MAINZ " A great addition to your collection!!! CONDITION: Only one cup has a very small chip on the edge. Other than that very good shape for age. Bid with confidence!!!! MEASURES: Punchbowl is 12" X 12" HIGH. Ladle is 15 3/4" LONG. Cups are 3 1/4" HIGH. The mug also has two terrific mythological dolphin heads of outstanding quality, finally it sits on three lion-like foot. We didn't find any hallmark on the bottom but this is for sure a piece of high quality. CONDITIONS: The mug is in good shape with no cracks, chips or repairs at all. MEASURES: 5" DIAMETER X 5 3/4" HIGH. Sairey Gamp is a character from Charles Dickens' "Martin Chuzzlewit". She is depicted here in the small size Royal Doulton character jug or Toby.Designed by Leslie Harradine and Harry Fenton, Sairey was produced from 1935 to 1986. This particular jug is in excellent condition and measures approximately 3 1/4" in height. It is backstamped as shown and bears the Doulton Number D5451. According to my book, the D5451 designates the larger jug, so perhaps this one is mismarked?   « Less

Originally made for the Royal Doulton International Collectors Club, I am pleased to be offering this John Doulton character jug or Toby mug.The version shown here is the second variation and was issued from 1981 to 1994. Designed by Eric Griffiths and measuring 4 1/4" in height, it depicts John Doulton and features the tower of Big Ben as the handle. John Doulton is attired in a black coat with purple collar and sports a yellow cravat while Big Ben is a brown color.This piece is in excellent condition. There are no signs of any chips, cracks or crazing. Great piece to add to your collection!   « Less
