His parents had 9 children and Hugues was the second son (his older brother died 1283). Hughes was born 1282 in Of and died 9 May 1315 in Argilly. He married Catherine de Valois (born 1275) on March 24, 1302. This coin is a BILLON (silver and bronze alloy) Denier.
