For Sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass Blown by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a Compote or Comport and it is done in Frederick Carder's very desirable Optic Ribbed Blue Gray Crystal Glass. The Compote is a nice size as it stands 3 9/16" tall and is 8" in diameter. The foot has a diameter of 3 1/4". The Compote displays a very pleasing Optic Ribbed Blue Gray Crystal Bowl that sits on top of an Blue Gray round foot and stem. The Glass is very smooth to the touch on both sides and looks and feel quite delicate. The inside of the bowl has a small hill formed by the Stem on the bottom side. The exterior edge is folded over and fire polished forming a thin border on the underside of the Compote's Bowl. The Compote is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are a few scratches on the underside of the Compote and is commensurate with its age. The piece is signed with the Acid Etched Block letter "Steuben" and has the number 5294 lightly etched. I believe this to be a Museum number or an inventory number from a previous collector that they might have assigned to it in case of loss or damage. It also displays a counter sunk polished Pontil. This is the sign of a quality piece of Art Glass as the Factory took the time to polish out the rough Pontil Scar. This is a Quality piece of Steuben Art Glass that is not so commonly found. I'm sure that Steuben Collector that purchases this Compote or Comport will be extremely please. This is shape number 2760 as seen in the Paul Gardner Book "The Glass of Frederick Carder". For Sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a very hard to find Acid Cut Back Vase or ACB". This Pattern was one of Frederick Carder's favorites as it depicted "Birds of Paradise". The Vase is quite large as it stands 8 7/8" tall and is 7 1/2" in diameter at the shoulder. The foot has a diameter of 4 3/8". The Vase displays an extremely beautiful floral pattern of "Birds in Paradise" sitting on branches looking at each other. There is foliage surrounding the birds and there are 6 birds acid etched in the vase. The pattern repeats itself 3 times and covers the entire vase. You can see the whole pattern from any angle when displayed. The details in this vase were acid cut from Steuben's Jade Green to Alabaster Glass. The detail is outstanding and extremely delicate. The shape of the vase is equally as nice. It is a tapered swollen form with a squat flared out lip on a round alabaster foot. An elegant and impressive size. These Acid Cut Back Vases are some of Frederick Carder's nicest examples of Art Glass that Steuben ever made. The detail in the Flowers, Leaves and stems is simply outstanding! It has a nice wide mouth to accommodate a nice Flower arrangement. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There a few small scratches along the bottom on the Jade. This is very hard to see and can only be seen when held to the light at an angle. The Inside of the Vase is extremely clean and shows no signs of Calcium deposits. The piece is not signed on the bottom but there is no mistaken that this is Steuben. The Vase does have a counter sunk polished pontil. This is the mark of a quality piece of art glass along with the fire polished and rolled top rim. This Vase is known as shape number "6078" in the Steuben Catalog pages. Those of you who are not sure this is Steuben, I will attach a link for you to view this shape on the Steuben Club shape website. This is one of the nicest forms to find in the Acid Cut Back Vases. Those of you whom Collect Steuben ACB Vases will surely welcome this wonderful Vase into your Collection. I'm sure the buyer will be extremely pleased with their purchase. For Sale is a lovely piece of Art Glass made by Tiffany Studios of New York, New York. The Item is a "Stemmed Sherbet" and it is done in the very desirable Pastel Blue Opalescent color. The Sherbet stands 3 1/2" tall and the Cup is 1 1/2" in diameter. The bottom foot has a diameter of 2 1/2". The Sherbet displays a wonderful and rich deep periwinkle Blue top lip. This is set against a background of creamy white opalescence glass. The Sherbet sits on a Stem that rises up off of a round foot. The Stem and the foot are done in opalescence glass. The Foot and the top of the Cordial have a wonderfully Rolled and Fire Polished edge. This piece of Art Glass is very delicate and it is amazing that it has survived over 90 years without any damage. The Stemmed Sherbet is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The Piece is signed on the bottom with the Etched "L.C.T. Favrile" Cipher mark for "Louis Comfort Tiffany". There is also a counter sunk polished pontil. This is the sign of a quality piece of Art Glass. These Pastel Blue Sherbets are some of the hardest color to find in the Tiffany Pastel Art Glass pieces. The quality doesn't get much better than this. For Sale a very nice Art Glass Tile made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is the 5rd tile of a Tile Collection of 6 I bought. The Tile is a nice petite size as it measures 2 15/16" Square. This would be considered a 3" Square Tile. This Art Glass Tile displays an Arts and Crafts Four Leaf Clover raised design in the center. The Symbol of Good Luck. The Glass in this Tile is simply outstanding. The Mottling is Superb!! The Tile shows Red/Orange to Burgundy with Yellow/Green mottling coloring throughout. There is a Green/Yellow Geometric thin layer of color surrounding the exterior border. There is also a grain in the glass. It is a slightly raised swirl texture as pictured. The Glass is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no cracks or any major chips. There is the usual tiny Flea nicks along the exterior edge. There are about a half dozen of these. These are on the top and bottom corners. Most of these are Flea nicks with the largest about the size of a pencil tip. My camera is 10X Power Zoom and make it looks worse than it really is. The tile is unsigned as is the case with these style tiles. The tile does display (4) Star Shaped Raised Glass teeth on a raised horizontally framed grid. This is as good as a Tiffany Signature and is unique to LC Tiffany Favrile method of making them. These teeth show some missing glass and is quite common as these points are quite Fragile. These tiles were used around Fireplaces and other Mosaic Type applications. This grid work on the back helped hold it to the grout and hold it in place when mounted. Taking these tiles out usually caused damage to the tile. This one is in surprising great shape and more than likely was removed with some ease. Tiffany Favrile Tiles in this Decor and Mottling are very hard to find. Tiles were some of the earliest glass items made by Tiffany Studios as he used them in his Decorating Business early on. These were made in his Corona, Long Island Factory. This tile was very early in Tiffany Favrile production. This Tile was made circa 1892-1900.   « Less

Beautiful Majolica Vase stands 18" tall, and 23" in diameter. This vase is simply gorgeous! The coloring is glossy and bright. The vase color starts out with a light blue increasing intensity with the appearance of running color down towards the base into a dark cobalt blue. There are 18 beautiful pink,white lavender,brown centered life sized flowers scattered across the front and sides of the vase, with twisted vines and stems holding onto the vase. Then in the midst of the flowers and vines are two beautifully colored life sized birds. The vase has some markings on the bottom as shown in the photo's.   « Less
