Pair of Georgian Starburst Earrings Circa. 1800 - 1820 British Fabulous pair of round paste starburst Georgian earrings. The stones are bright and in wonderful condition. Each measures a full 1/2 inch in diameter. Original back-to-front 9K gold wires. Wires tested with 9K acid. Stones are foiled back (closed back) and set in sterling silver. Quintessential pair. Pair of Georgian Rose Diamond Earrings Circa. 1820 British A fabulous pair of diamond earrings from the Georgian era. Not only is the diamond design and execution wonderful, the backs of the earrings are superb! 15K gold tested with 15K acid. Silver tops. 40 rose cut diamonds with a total approximate weight of 1.65 carats. Foil back. Impossible to get precise diamond weight due to closed back settings. The gold wires can be a replacement, but otherwise the entire earring is in excellent original condition. Each earring measures 1 3/4 inches in length with wire, and 1 3/8 inch in length without wire. They are 1/2 inch wide at their widest. The stones are noticeably brilliant and white, considering they are in a foil setting where the diamonds turn gray over time. A magnificent pair of 200 year old earrings, executed to perfection. 8.3 gr. 5.3 dwt.   « Less
