These are two wonderful antique doorknob sets, in P. & F. Corbin’s “Lorraine” pattern, with their matching back plates. Circa 1905, the back plates feature an anthemion at the top and the bottom, surrounded by volutes and intricate foliate detail. The door knobs feature a looped border intertwined with leaves. These sets are in excellent condition with a beautiful patina. The plates are 2 ¼” wide and 8 ½” tall, and the doorknobs are 2 ¼” wide and approx. 2” deep. This is a delightful antique cast iron door hardware set by P. & F. Corbin, in the “Piccadilly” design from their 1905 catalog. The set includes the door knobs, plates, and mortise lock. The knob features an elegant six-fold design with a flower in the center, surrounded by a graceful foliate border. The flower motif is repeated on the top of the backplate, which is also ornamented with flowing leaves and vines and shows Art Nouveau influence. The lock is signed by Corbin. This set is in excellent condition with a nice patina and with some white paint on the lock (which will not be visible when installed). Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates measure 2” by 7”. The faceplate of the mortise lock is 6 ½” by 1”. NDKS25-RW   « Less

Made of cast iron with bronze highlights, this lock dates from the 1880’s and is the only one of its kind that we’ve seen. These are three matching antique Neoclassical door hardware sets in Yale & Towne’s “Lydian” design, circa 1910. This doorknob set features unusual oval knobs ornamented with shells, beads, and acanthus; the oval backplates feature the same elegant design. This door hardware is in excellent condition. The knobs measure 1 5/8” wide, 2 5/8” tall, and 2” deep; the plates are 2 ½” by 7”. Each hardware set consists of a pair of doorknobs with the connecting rod and two plates. These are three unusually large antique window locks, dating from the 1880’s and made of cast iron with cast bronze handles. Each lock is ornamented with an abstracted vine pattern, and the knobs feature a pinwheel design. The keepers or catches for the latches are ornamented with a delicate vine design. The top and bottom of each door plate is ornamented with a fantastic cast bronze anthemion with delicate cutouts, and the plates are bordered in an intricate leaf-and-dart pattern. This is a fantastic antique cast bronze drum-shaped doorknob and matching back plate in the “Broken Leaf” pattern by Lockwood Manufacturing Company. Patented in 1886, this sought-after door hardware features an unusual asymmetrical design of a vase of flowers, surrounded by foliage with bent stems. The door knob features a drum shape, which is more uncommon than its rounded counterpart. This set is in very good antique condition, with the knob showing some signs of use. This is an elegant antique Art Nouveau entrance door hardware set, made by Reading Hardware Co. in the “Eulalia” design featured in their 1897 catalog. Made of bronze, the knobs feature a recessed center ornamented with Art Nouveau leaf detail, surrounded by a wide, raised border. The plates feature a charming asymmetrical design of flowing vines and leaves, with flowers surrounding the screw holes. This set includes the larger exterior door plate, the smaller interior plate, and the pair of knobs with their connecting spindle. The door hardware is in very good antique condition with a lovely patina. Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 1 ¾” deep; the larger backplate is 2 ½” by 8 ¾” and the smaller one is 2 ½” by 7 3/8”.
