Beneath the roof is a single light supported by a candle cup with a zigzag border. The lantern is in very good antique condition with some dents in the roof (pictured) and some bent portions on the zigzag border; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Unique antique figural pendant light with original slag glass and Egyptian motifs, dating somewhere between 1915 and 1920. This brass fixture features an understated canopy and chain that moves down to a loop finial crowning a sloped roof. The fixture's cylindrical body has borders of Greek keys and beading. Vertical supports are figural columns with volutes, foliate details, and a decorative head with Egyptian headdress. Between each column are panels of the beautiful original amber slag glass. The bottom of the fixture features its own flat, circular floor of slag glass, visible from underneath. This light fixture is excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. Marvelous antique pendant light with a unique design and original glass shade. A simple canopy and chain moves down to a diamond loop finial and understated brass fitter. Beneath the fitter is a gadrooned, original glass mushroom-shaped shade. The shade has white gadrooned glass on top, giving the appearance of a wider, upper shade. The lower portion of the shade is the same white, giving the illusion of a bowl-shaped second shade. Clear glass connects the two levels, covering the underbelly of the top piece and only visible from below. An acorn finial finishes the fixture. This unusual light is similar in concept to item #NC789-RW, an "inclosing globe" pendant light, designed by H.H. Blau to look like an inverted dome chandelier but completely enclosed to keep the inside clean. This pendant light is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass. A marvelous antique Neoclassical pendant light fixture with its original cut back cameo glass shade, dating from the early 1900’s. The chandelier begins with an elegant cast bronze canopy ornamented with a guilloche pattern, palmettes, and foliate detail. Below, the fitter features the same design as the canopy, and supports a splendid acid cutback glass (or “cameo glass”) shade. The shade features a beautiful design with a shield surrounded by a laurel wreath and ribbons. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Monumental "Knight's Helmet" light. Circa 1920+. It has a nice old-gold and black contrasting color scheme. The lovely, hand-blown opaline glass shade is simply gorgeous. It measures a whopping 14" diameter at the top and borders on 14" tall as well. Overall...as pictured...the light has a total drop of 42". It could be lengthened or shortened just slightly by adding/removing the 4 lateral chains. We completely rewired this wonderful light completing the UL standards with the addition of a copper ground wire. The socket we installed is a mogul socket. This could be used for bulbs up to and including 500 watts...but we liked the idea of installing our 40 watt "Induction Light Bulb" which gives out a 264 incandescent watt equivalency for only 40 watts of electricity draw. And it lasts thousands of hours longer than incandescent bulbs. It is included in the price of the light. Measurements: The overall chandelier height is 42". Stunning antique one light chandelier with stained glass, dating from the early 1900s. This pendant light begins with a gadrooned canopy, moving its way down in chain to a decorative loop finial. Below, the body is crowned by beautiful scrolling bands, and consists of amber slag glass panels accented by ruby stained glass. The panels are sectioned off by an intricate body of scrolling foliage and beading. The chandelier finishes in a tassel finial. For that really special application and sure to get attention. A turn of the century (circa 1900s) ball chandelier with lots of lovely solid brass decor. We would assume that this is a wonderful entry piece because it has just so much going on. But, of course, it could be used in any room where a definite statement wants to be made. Original curved art glass in two distinct finishes and colors make up the entire ball. Simply a summation of the end of the Victorian era. Replacing the light bulbs is done by opening the ball for access to the sockets. There are SIX sockets inside with 3 sockets lighting the top half of the ball and 3 sockets lighting the bottom half of the ball. For photography, we used low power bulbs so the camera would not blank out the detail by reacting to a high powered light source. This light has been totally re-wired to UL standards and is ready to hang. Measurements: 55 inches tall but could be shortened by removing some stem elements. The maximum diameter is 14". This pendant light begins with a foliate canopy, moving down in chain to a scrolling loop finial, accented by leaves. The chandelier body is made of two scrolling bands with red polychrome flowers. The light in the center is supported by a foliate bobeche with a leaf finial below.
