This opal necklace was a recent estate purchase. The surface of the opal has tiny hairlines from dryness. They are only noticeable when you hold a bright light behind it. This is a beautiful intense colors natural opal. The 32 diamonds average 7 points each giving a conservative estimate of 2 carats total diamond weight. The white gold chain is 16 inches. The opal is hand set in a basket setting beautifully designed and very well made. It has a 14K gold ring attahced at the top for the chain to go through.
