A very rare Veneered Huanghuali Square table with a all huanghuali table top frame. Veneered pieces were made at the end of the Ming Dynasty as huanghuali wood was getting very scarce. You don't find many huanghuali veneered pieces around anymore which makes it a nice collectors item. The table still has the stains of the scholars ink as these tables were often used as work tables for scholars. I prefer leaving the stains rather then removing them. There still remains some of the original undercoating in the underside of the table. Size: H. 84cm. W. 94 x 94 cm. Condition: In it's original state. All original. Two small old repairs on table top. See photos.
