Ex Rare Gruggett Brass Rail electric guitar c 1978.
After Bill Gruggett helped Semi Mosley design and build his brass rails in the 1975-76 period, Bill started manufacturing his own. In my opinion, they were better built, better designed and are amongst the finest electric guitars ever built. I love these brass rails. Every one is different. They are the sweetest sounding and lowest action playing guitars ever built. The brass rail gives them unbelievable sustain that ring right through you like a bell.
The guitar is in overall excellent condition.
The electronics scream. The sound is clear and seems to go right through to your soul. The sustain is awesome. It is the best built electric guitar I have owned and a very hard decision to offer it for sale. It will do exceptionally well on a large stage or stadium.
She is elegant and sexy, jet black with a carved top and a wonderfully designed thick, double layer (clear over white) pickguard, heavy B&W checker binding surrounds her graceful thin body with beautiful curves that hug you as you play. Beautiful wood inlay on entire fretboard with the brass rail down the center.
This guitar is unique and in my opinion, probably the nicest brass rail Bill Gruggett had ever built.
Comes with non original vintage hard case that fits her like a glove.

ORIGINAL GRETSCH BRIDGES AND BRIDGE PARTS!
These are from the infamous†hoard of Gretsch parts and bodies found at the Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Co. on Broadway in downtown Nashville, Tennessee in the 1980’s after Gretsch production ceased. They were made in the 1950’s - 1960’s. It seems like they may have been in transit to another location and wound up there temporarily stored, never claimed. I was fortunate to buy the entire box lot, so quantities are limited and once these are gone there are no more!
All are perfect and NOS and very reasonably priced, see photo. Just let me know which and how many you need. Great chance for collectors, re-builders and luthiers!!!

A very rare and very beautiful, circa 1982, Daion Headhunter 555! This was Daion’s top of the line model and their equivalent to Gibson’s 335. It is a truly amazing and a very well built guitar. Her unique shape balances very nicely and weighs in at just about 8 lbs. Beautiful flame maple top and back with bull’s eye brass inlays as fret markers. Brass saddles and brass string nut. 9 ply (alternating black/white) binding on front and back with 5 ply binding on neck!!! Duo hum buckers with coil taps make her a very versatile guitar. She is perfect for on stage performance and is a real crowd pleaser!
She is in excellent overall condition with straight neck, low action and great frets. This guitar has spent the majority of her life in her case!
She is missing her original pick guard, but looks better without it, and her plain silver knobs were changed during her lifetime in favor of Gibson speed knobs. She is quite the looker and an amazing player! Her original hard-shell case is in very good condition and still retains its original paper label with matching serial as inside on the guitar label.

1977 Gibson RD Artist; desirable first year model. (this is the RD 77 model, made 1977-79). The same model with same finish (natural) as played by Jimmy Page. One of the most radical guitars that Gibson ever produced and the top model in the RD lineup. A true vintage classic!
This stunning work of art was built with active Moog electronics. The body design of the guitar and the electronics were designed simultaneously giving the guitar a great look, great balance and fantastic playability. The longest scale length Gibson produced on a guitar was on the RD 77; 25 ½“. Amazing sounding and a very comfortable, fast playing guitar suitable for a large stage. Great for psychedelic music and hard rock! All electronics function flawlessly. A "zillion" combinations and a "zillion' sounds! I have owned and played a lot of Gibson electric guitars. I was a "Gibson man" since the early 70's when I owned my first 50's Les Paul. As far as I am concerned this guitar is one of the finest playing Gibson built electric guitars, ever.
There are some finish cracks and a few tiny finish chips and minimal wear. Neck is straight and action is low
The guitar is stamped “second†on top of rear headstock, see photo. The only blemish, if you can call it a blemish, that I could ever find is that there is a bit of natural “flame†to the top of the maple body at the lower bout, bass side, see photo. I was also told that sometimes guitar makers stamped guitars “second†to discount them to larger music stores.
Anyway, guitar is absolutely beautiful as far as I am concerned and comes with original case in very good shape, photos available.
As a bonus a copy of the wiring schematic will be included.
IF YOU WANT ONE OF THE NICEST EXAMPLES OF THIS RARE GUITAR EVER LISTED ON THE NET LOOK NO FURTHER!

The best of the best. The rarest of the rare.
Extremely rare Standel / Koontz electric bass guitar. According to a long time Standel collector there was an estimate of less than 20 of these built bearing the Standel name and 9 (including this one and the one he owns) have been accounted for. Probably making this the rarest of all the Standel / Koontz production models. This same model sometimes surfaces bearing the Harptone name and is virtually the same in construction, but considerably more examples are known to exist.
This one is virtually mint. Before I owned it, It has been socked away in a private collection for over 30 years and never played. I am not a bass player and have only played it a few times in the past 5 or 6 years. Gorgeous deep cherry finish and a long sale too! This guitar is undoubtedly the best example existing of this extremely rare instrument designed by Sam Koontz, the most respected master luthier and built in his workshop at the Harptone Manufacturing Corporation in Newark, New Jersey, and under his direction for Standel.
She only weighs about 7 1/2 pounds so she is easy on the back. One of the best sounding and best playing bass guitars you will ever see. Comes with her original, plush lined, top quality case in excellent condition.
In case my price is too low for you or you can only buy on credit....Here is a link to the only other one on the net for sale:

A gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous BC Rico acoustic dreadnaught in highly desirable bird's eye maple designed by Bernie Rico and manufactured at the prestigious Nagoya plant in Japan between 1984-1986. Solid spruce top with birds eye maple sides and back in excellent overall condition with no repairs or any issues at all, just minor handling wear and very minor play wear. All original with straight neck, excellent frets and low action. BEAUTIFUL SOUND!!!!!! GORGEOUS GUITAR!!!!!!!!!
A very rare offering at a very reasonable price!!!
NOTE: There have been a few BC Rich and BC Rico guitars listed on the net with claims they were made in the USA. A true USA BC Rich, Bernie Rico SR. made acoustic, commands a price in the thousands range. A word of caution: Unless they have a label inside that reads BC Rich, Los Angeles, California they are probably not USA products.
When discussing the imports: The Japan made ones are very scarce and of exceptional quality while the later Asian made versions have quite a bit to be desired!
Buyer beware: Do your research before you buy!
This beautiful and rare guitar will come with a plush lined, hard-shell case in excellent condition that fits like a glove.

Brooks (Brian Moore associated?)
Here is a very nicely made guitar that is a mystery to me.
It appears to be well made of solid mahogany with a set neck and has many of the characteristics of an early Brian Moore guitar: Sperzel locking tuners, Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and a Schaller roller bridge. It has abalone inlays on the ebony fret-board: one with a cloud and moon and a heart on the back of the neck. Even the body contours and brass strap peg are identical to early Brian Moore guitars. There has to be some connection here.
There is a “ghost†imprint of the name “BROOKS†in script (probably originally a decal) beneath the recess in the pick-guard that is easy to see with the naked eye, but difficult to see in a photograph.
The guitar has a few small dings several bottom edge scrapes and appears to have been rather poorly re-fretted with jumbo stainless frets at some point. A very nicely designed guitar that is lightweight (6lb. 9 oz.) and has a fast straight neck with a wide ebony fretboard, perfect for bending strings). This would be a nice project. Very little money involved, just some time and you will have a very nice luthier made American vintage 80’s guitar!
Comes with padded gig-bag.

Here we have a super 8†x 10†1920’s sepia photo of a period Hungarian orchestra on stage! We were told by the daughter of the woman who owned the photo that her mom always referred to the photo as “Lazlo and his orchestraâ€. Some research may prove interesting. The expressions on the musicians faces are priceless!!! Just look at the close-up photos!!!
The photograph is retained in its original matt (overall about 12 ¾†x 10 ¾â€) bearing the New York photographer’s name in deco lettering “Frank Studio“. Photo is virtually mint and the matt is tattered on the very edges with a few wrinkles on one side. Still perfectly farmable in its original matt.
An outstanding original photographic image from early 20th century New York City!
