A magnificent early 20th century black lacquered Chinoiserie hand painted Breakfront bookcase-china cabinet in triple-section broken-front form. The center section has double doors flanked by single doors on each side. Each door of the top section has a locking mechanism, with glass panes in each door, and a lighted interior with adjustable glass shelves. The bottom section mimics the top with blind inset panels. This piece is superbly constructed and beautifully done. Large Chinoiserie pieces are rare and make a stunning bold statement. The shelves are composed of two pieces that can be separated for the transport, there are 10 tablets in all. A piece of furniture in very good condition, with little traces of usury. The one in the middle has a different organization, the two shelves on the top are as large as the library while the three other are smaller and divide in two the lower part of the library. This is a splendid Bookcase made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut by the second half of the 19th century. This very decorative piece is consisting of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a step-back façade providing a single door mounted with an handsome arched beveled glass pane surrounded by intricate carving depicting acanthus rosettes and foliates and flanked by 2 pairs of adorably turned tapered column, all standingon ball feet. The interior compartment is spacious with 4 original beveled wooden shelves. Note that that hardware and glass panes are in original condition. This lovely original large bookcase has two (2) sides for books or glass- ware. Rounded on both sides and top pillar. It has six (6) adjustable shelves with adjustable holes in the sides to make the shelves whatever height you need. This piece is solid striped mahogany with a board top 14? wide. The fancy curved front legs and back legs have a slight curve to the back. The legs also have rollers. The doors of the case have original glass in both sides.
