The bottom is inscribed "Eliza Ormrod died Feb 1 1849 aged 3 years." The front of the mourning brooch is an artist signed miniature painting. The signature reads "T. Foll." There is a miniscule chip on the crystal cover along the edge at 5 o'clock. The portrait itself is in mint condition protected for more than 150 years by the crystal cover. From the bottom of the watch case to the top of the watch ring it measures 1 7/8 inches. The watch is engraved on the dust cover Aug 20 1889. The watch is in excellent condition and keeps perfect time. It does have some miniscule hairlines on the dial only visible with magnification. Multi-colored high relief sculptured watches as this one are very rare. The back has engraved flowers and high relief stars. The front has a small shield shaped cartouche engraved Marie.
