This is a magnificent pair, one of the nicest high relief sculptured Griffin cufflinks we have had the pleasure to offer for sale. Each cufflink has a white, fiery old cut 15 point platinum set diamond. From side to side across the top they measure 16 mm. From top to bottom across the top they measure 14 mm. Versatile antique 14k gold griffin pendant that may also be worn as a brooch or watch pin. The back has a watch holder attached to the back of the griffin's tail. You can hang a watch or another piece of jewelry from the holder. It also has a loop making it wearable as a pendant necklace. It also has a very secure pin allowing it to be worn as a brooch or pin. This griffin is beautifully sculptured. It has a curled handle to the tip of the sword and is set with a ruby eye and 7 old mine cut diamonds. The largest diamond in the griffin's wing measures more than .10 points. The other six diamonds in the sword handle average .025 points each. Combined diamond weight approximately .25 carats. This is a beautifully detailed sculpture measuring 32mm from the bottom to the top of the wing. Width from pearl to wing tip 29.2mm. Weight 8.2 grams. Beautiful antique griffin brooch with an old cut diamond in its mouth. It has a ring at the bottom where one could attach a hanging piece of jewelry if desired. This griffin is in mint condition and is marked in an oval FIX. Fix is a French term used for describing jewelry that has been heavily gold applied or plated to look like solid gold. Fix pieces look so much like gold that the French mark their gold applied pieces with the mark FIX. This was done to identify the pieces as not being solid gold to prevent anyone from being deceived. High quality FIX pieces look like solid gold. This griffin is a classic example. It measures 1-3/4 inches wide, 1-5/8 inches high. Weight 5.3 grams. Mint condition. Antique Gruen gold filled open face pocket watch. The watch has a beautiful hand chased case. The back of the case is a screw back. It has a cartouche where one could engrave there name or initials. The inside of the back case reads STAR W.C.C. WARRANTED 20 YEARS. The serial number on the back of the case is 4253509. The back of the watch movement has a maker's mark and also reads WATCH SPECIALTY CO 15 JEWELS 3 ADJUSTS. The face of the watch reads GRUEN. It has a subsidiary second hand dial. The minute and hour hand are very unusual, they look like they might glow in the dark. The watch measures 1-5/8 inches from side to side. From the bottom of the watch to the top of the watch ring it measures 2-1/4 inches. This is a beautiful watch that may be worn on a chain as a pendant watch by a lady or carried in the pocket of a gentleman. This is a very nice Art Deco watch in excellent pre-owned condition. Rare excellent condition antique E. Howard Railroad watch serial number 1150923 indicating this watch movement was made in 1930. The movement is inscribed 21 JEWELS SERIES 10 1150923 E HOWARD WATCH CO BOSTON USA, with a star and an arrow. It is also marked PAT'D'10. It is also inscribed EXTRA ADJUSTMENT 5 POSTIONS TEMPERATURE. This is a unique watch. To open the movement you have to lift it out from the case on a hinge. The case is gold filled. The back of the cover is inscribed E. HOWARD WATCH CO BOSTON C. W.C. CO. TRADEMARK CRESCENT EXTRA with case number 2421099. We have just had this watch cleaned and serviced by our expert watch maker. The watch is a lever set movement meaning to set the time you have to lift the watch up out of the case and use your thumbnail to pull the lever set out that is located between 1 and 2 on the side of the watch. Once you have done that it sets the watch in the time set position, you gently turn the winding crown until the time is set correctly. Once you have done that, you push the lever back in which now puts the watch in the wind position. It is very important that you push the lever back into the watch before trying to wind it after you have set the time. To access the watch you have to unscrew the cover. It unscrews easily and when you set it back on just tighten it gently with your hand it is not necessary to tighten it too much. From the bottom of the case to the top of the watch ring it measures 2-7/8 inches. From side to side across the face it measures 2 inches. Weight 97.5 grams. This is a wonderful condition rare E. Howard antique railroad grade watch. It has 60 minutes all in black with the exception of 5-60 every 5 minutes it is marked with red markers. The face has 2 minor hairlines, one near 9:00 and the other infront of it. The back of the watch has a monogram could be HB. We have just had this watch cleaned and serviced by our expert watch maker. It is in excellent condition, runs great, and keeps good time. The movement is inscribed Illinois Springfield Watch Co 17 Jewels with a movement serial number 2972546. The watch has a small ding on the back case mentioned for the sake of accuracy. The back of the case is worn. The watch has Roman numerals and a subsidiary second hand. Weight 61.2 grams. It measures 2-1/2 inches from the bottom of the watch to the top of the watch loop.
