Pair of superb quality antique 18th -19th century Qing Dynasty Chinese woman's silver filigree headdress ornaments of matching lobed triangular form panels with hanging heart shaped pendants. Each finely decorated with filigree scrolling work and applied with small stamped silver plaques, adorned on the center with round faceted bezel-set black stone in gold gild filigree setting (probably Onyx) suspended from three rows of chains constructed of foliate filigree oval panels connected to a floral -shaped clasp, adorned on the center with round faceted bezel-set black stone in gold gild filigree setting (probably Onyx). Each stamped on the loops with a small rectangular silver hallmark. CONDITION: In very good condition no damage, repairs or restorations. MEASUREMENTS: Approx. Overall length: 19.7 cm (7 3/4 in).Width: 8.3 cm (3 1/4 in). WEIGHT: 85 grams (2.99829 ounces). Edwardian Art Nouveau period long gold plated or possibly rolled gold chain with photo locket. Chain links open twist rectangles, and the colour of the metal is a dark rose gold. Very long length, as was fashionable back then, circa 1900. The locket unscrews at the top, so you can replace photos. It is a slightly yellower colour than the chain.The front of the locket has an Art Nouveau decoration of three flower heads to one side. The top head has a turquoise bead, but the other two have lost theirs. (You can easily have another two small turquoises glued here). The photo is a charming study of a young woman, dressed in black. Chain is a little over 66 cm long (26 inches) with a spring-clasp at the end. The locket is 3.1 cm diameter (1.1/4 inches). All in very good original condition.   « Less

Elegant bar brooch, dating late Victorian/Edwardian period. Made in 9ct gold, there are three off-set bars of gold forming the bar, with a central scroll containing four natural seed pearls and a central disc of mother of pearl. C clasp. Stamped 9ct to rear. Brooch measures 4.5 cm wide and 1.2 cm deep (1.3/4 inch by about 1/2 inch). Most probably made in England. Excellent condition. (The mother of pearl disc is a replacement for a lost seed pearl, but looks lovely).   « Less

Used as bride wealth payment, it possesses sacred qualities and is part of the adat heirloom valuables. Originally made in gold, silver was first introduced to Southeast Maluku in the 16-17th C in the form of silver dollars.
