circa: 2000 width: 65 height: 30 length: 43 This exquisite maple partners desk is handmade in England as an Art Deco reproduction. Beginning with the luxuriously rich burr maple, every aspect of this desk speaks of the highest quality. The black leather writing surface, for instance, bordered by gold tooling, contrasts beautifully with the maple, as do the solid brass drawer pulls. The painted black base makes a nice finishing touch, while the rounded breakfront shape of the desk itself is quite striking. Because this is a partners desk, it has drawers on both sides, totaling to eighteen drawers, one of which is a keyboard drawer; also, the top three drawers on each side lock. Conveniently, this desk contains four writing slides, with two on each side. Finally, because this is a pedestal desk, it disassembles into the two pedestals, the desktop, the four writing slides, and the two central drawers; the whole desk assembles with accompanying screws.   « Less
