Chicory, Pasta, and Flour (only in French) - three enamel kitchen tins with hinged lids. All three tins are the same size, 15 cm by 13 cm by 9 cm deep. They all have some chips to the paint, and some rust inside - to the bottom mainly, none rusted through though, just stained. A liner on the bottom would sort this out. Very 1950s with Deco style geometric design on the lid, and a stylised foal on the sides, presumably the logo of Pulverise Poulain which I think is a soluble chocolate powder. Advertising tins. Great for the Provencal style kitchen or a shabby chic decor.   « Less

Stainless steel blades and "bone" handles (actually celluloid, as these date from 1930s-60s). There are seven of these English dinner knives, all the same blade, handle and ferrule shape. However, 5 of the knives are by George Butler & Co, Sheffield, and the other two are R.Wenborn, Cutlers, Oxford. There is a difference of 1 cm between the length of the Butler knives and the Wenborn knives, but believe me, you won't notice this when they are laid out on a dining table. Knives are 24.5 cm long and 23.5 cm long. All are in good sound condition. Some minor scuffing to the stainless steel, commensurate with just light use. Look upon this as a set of 6 knives with one spare.   « Less

Spring to lid is still working well. Vase has a suspension loop. Item measures 4.9 cm by 3.5 cm and 1.2 cm thick. It has some minor usage dents (two on one side only) and a shallow thumb depression on the front. The rear has a small imperfection in the plating. Bought in 1960, this Sheaffer's White Dot "Snorkel" pen has a black casing with gold bands, and a 14K gold nib. Stamped "Sheaffers. Made in Australia" in small print around the cap band. It comes in its original box with instructions. (Twisting the end of the pen's stem produces a snorkel which comes out under the nib. You dip this into the ink and rewind into the pen).   « Less
