Mid-Late 19TH Century Royal Vienna Painting on Porcelain Plaque. On the back of the plate is the bee hive mark and also is a blurred hard to make out name on what appears to be in the shape of a flag. Carlsbad Fine Porcelain.. The plate itself measures almost 11" actually 10 7/8". Plates this size are ofter referred to as chargers. I believe the factory was in Vienna, Austria. Different European countries including Berlin in Germany had factories that produced these romantic scene plaques. One of the companies was KPM-which was the Kings Porcelain Manufacturer. Their plaques were made in Berlin and became very popular and today they are Very Expensive. Some of these plaques could sell for over $20,000 depending on how complex the scene was. « Less

Tayler was born in Massachusetts in 1968. He is a modern day painter who still paints and the fact that he was raised within sight of the ocean is evident in most of his paintings. His work depicts all facets of coastal areas and marine subjects. With great artistic talent and using a fine detailed manner, he creates works of extraordinary strength. He paints several versions of Sailing Ships. Single, double and triple and J.Class. Even though he actively paints and all of his paintings are hand painted by him and are not copied off of a computer or any type of modern technology. We usually are fortunate to acquire a few of his paintings a year. They are most sought after by clients and decorators on the East Coast from Maine to Florida. This single "TWILIGHT SAIL" is Custom Framed in a Beautiful New Molded Frame. The measurements of the canvas only is 20" X 24" and the total dimension including the gilded frame is 29" X 33". « Less

Framed piece of art work. The lower left hand corner is inscribed petrus de petris inu.et delin.--The right hand corner is inscribed Io.Hieronymus Frezza incid.Romae cum Priu. Sum.Pont.an.1704. After Google-ing, I really became confused as I am not exactle a scholar--Just a Dumb Olde Antique Dealer. Apparently he was a Roman sculptor. There is also a Large Book which was done in 1704, and I think this was a page out of that book that someone maybe 40-50 years ago had framed. The frame measures 22 1/2" X 19 1/2". The inscription of the piece is PICTVRA FRANCISCI ALBANI IN ADE VEROSPIA. I might not sell it but I guarantee you I will get many emails helping me with what it is.--mimisantiques@comcast.net--This could also be a real treasure and the steal of a life time. But if it is not that treasure, it definetely make a very decorative piece of art to hang in that perfect place for that Special person. « Less

"ITALIAN COASTAL ROADSIDE ENCOUNTER" by Thomas Leeson Rowbotham a listed British artist (1823-1875). This is a 8" X 19" Watercolor/Gouache signed lower right, dated 1874, and titled on verso, 13" X 24" Framed. Rowbotham, a landscaper painter in watercolors, was also known for his work as a lithographer and engraver. He suceeded his father as Professor of Drawing at the Royal Naval School, New Cross. His first serious work was done in 1840. His work was exhibited at the Royal Academy,New Watercolor Society, Society of British Artists, and others from 1840 until his death in 1875. He wrote and illustrated many books. He had never been to Italy but during the later part of his life he restricted his work to Italian scenes of seas and lakes with the sunny effects that he preferred to paint. This watercolor is a Excellent Example of the type of Italian landscape he painted in the later years of his life. This is a wonderful watercolor of people in and around a cart off of a countryside hilly road overlooking the water and castles on the water surrounded by a beautiful and serene landscape of trees and bushes. « Less

Circa 1920 Chinese Export Blue Canton Tea Cannister with cover. The Tea Cannister measures 14 1/2" to the top of the cover and 12" to the top just past the side border just above the rain and cloud border. The width at that point is 7 1/2" square. We believe that the cover is not original but it looks good with it on showing it as a Complete Piece. Tea Cannisters, Tea Poys and Tea caddies are Very Collectible. A Blue Canton Tea Cannister with original cover and dating from the Early 19TH. Century would probably sell for over $10,000.00. This one is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or Restoration. Presently in our inventory we have a 18TH Century Nanking and a 19TH Century Cabbage Leaf Tea Cannister of approximately the same size. « Less
