Art Deco Streamline Pair of Antique Wall Sconces A nice-to-find pair of Circa 1920-30 sconces with great off-white, slightly iridescent, glass shades. The shades are in very good condition, and seem to match the rounded decorative elements of the backplate quite well. The metal is finished in an antique Hi/Lo pewter look, and has some interesting decorative elements reflecting both Edwardian and Streamline Deco. Measurements: * Height: 8 ½" * Width: 5 ½" maximum (shade). * Projection: 7" from the wall into the room. Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal sockets for everyday medium base bulbs have been installed in each. The on/off rotary switch is located below the shade cup, and has a bakelite knob. The lined design of the backplates, which also matches the line design in the shades, just screams "Streamline Deco." The contrasting cast iron frame with the nickel plated steel elements are so very striking. Pewter finished backplates, paired with light yellow and contrasting clear design shades. Pair of Art Deco Streamline Wall Sconces Circa 1938 These sconces were made by Mid-West Mfn of Kansas City, KS. This composition is from their "Chesterton" Series, circa 1938. Nice design for the more Streamline design motif of the 1938 Deco era. Sears, when they put them into their lighting catalog, changed the name to "Mellow-Glow" for their 1938 Lightmaster Catalog. The metal finish is pewter. Measurements: * Height: 8" * Width: 6 ½" * Projection: 4 ½" from the wall into the room. Very impressive. Art Deco Three Shade Chandelier by Lincoln Circa 1935 This three light chandelier comes from Lincoln's "The Grosvenore Series," and is in their catalog of 1935. Very Streamline in design with a mock world décor stem, which reminded us of the world's fair at that time. Lincoln boasted a Bronze finish with contrasting silver elements (which were really the base aluminum metal)...and over this amount of time...the finish has mellowed...faded...and is as 80 year old finishes would be expected to appear. Still...for its age...nice contrasting like an old Persian carpet. Nice amber shades in pretty darn good condition. Antique Restored Red-Bronzed Finish Cast Iron Art Deco Slip Shade Wall Sconces Circa 1930. True high-end quality, original, cast iron, antique frames with a lovely reddish-bronze finish. It is difficult to cast reticulated backplates, as any casting man will tell you. The frames show nice contrasting color variation, due to their age, but it does reflect the total age and care of this antique. These Art Deco Slip Shade sconces were the only sconces made for this series of slip shade lights. These fixtures are in such nice condition. The bronze finish is very nice indeed. The shades are simply in fantastic condition, with old amber finish displaying dashes of clear design. Measurements: * Height: 12" * Width: 5 ¼" * Projection: 5" from the wall into the room. These sconces have been completely rewired in our UL shop, with new sockets and all new wire.
