Offering a yellow ware pitcher with a rich deep chocolate glazed color. No maker marks on this early 1900's piece. The pitcher is tall, standing almost 9" high and it measures 8" spout to handle. There are no chips or cracks but there are glaze pops that we have tried to show in the pictures. The color is actually darker than what the pictures are showing. A good usable country kitchen pitcher at an affordable price. « Less

An Albany slip glazed stoneware batter pitcher (or moonshine jug if you want to go that way), circa early 1900's. Total height of 9 1/2". No maker marks. Brown glaze all over, but discoloration in one area as shown, possibly from sitting next to a fire or heat source. There are a couple of minor flakes on both the bottom and top rim, but overall good condition. Very nice pinched spout. Would make a nice addition to a country kitchen. « Less

A Somerset Potters Works stoneware jug decorated in cobalt blue. Somerset Potters Works was also known as L.& B. G. Chase Pottery which was in business in Somerset Massachusetts during the years 1847 - 1882. This jug stands about 11" high. There is a small chip on the interior top rim and a firing flaw on the bottom. Otherwise good structural condition. There is discoloration throughout. The size is 2 gallon. The cobalt is a bit unusual as it actually is raised off the body so you can feel it. A good piece of Americana. « Less

Museum quality. A superb feldspar stoneware pitcher, dated 1843, likely Staffordshire. This beauty stands 9 1/4" tall and is glazed with an azure blue ground with fine relief moldings of hop leaves, barley ears and ferns. The swags of barley ears are yellow, with everything else white against the blue. Check out the twisted handle- everything about this piece is top notch. There would have originally been a pewter handle to go on top, hence the two holes that can be seen. There is a hairline on the top of the handle (not repaired), otherwise excellent condition. « Less
