Circa 2007 This is a freshly painted masterpiece by California plein Air artist James Dudley Slay 111. It is a brilliant landscape featuring lush wildflowers amongst towering Eucalyptus trees in the foreground and background. This was painted in the forest surrounding University of California San Diego. The painting measures 26 1/2" wide by 22 1/2" high framed in a new gold leafed Art Nouveau style frame. Eucalyptus tress line the path surrounded by wildflowers and other greenery. The sky features murky blue cloud cover and a sun source just at the top of the mountain. The painting is in excellent condition and signed in the lower right corner Dan Persinger, a contemporary artist who paints in the style of early California artists of great fame.
