Circa 1820 Chinese Export Pair of Orange Fitzhugh Platters measuring 16" X 13". Fresh out of a very important estate in Charlottesville, Virginia--The home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello. Both of these platters have black marks on them which was done in the making of these beautiful old fitzhugh platters. There are eight images that we are showing on this one platter(Platter #1) of the pair, illustrating these firing marks. There were a couple chips on the rim of each platter that we have had professionally restored. The other platter has been listed separately, so the images of each platter and black marks can be viewed. We are willing to sell these platters separately or as a pair. We also have priced both as individually or as the pair. Very Reasonably I might Add. Single Orange Fitzhugh Platters of this size and in good condition usually sell for $6500.00, and a matching pair from the same estate is unheard of. « Less

We have in our inventory, 10--19TH Century Chinese Export Blue Canton Dinner Plates measuring 9 3/4"-10" in diameter. They all have chips, nicks, and one had been broken and repaired by old stapling method. All these plates are 19th century. NO NEW CANTON. This will be sold as one lot--$500.00 Plus Shipping. FINAL PRICE!!! We are showing each dinner plate on our web site. #1-#10!! #10 is the plate that has been stapled. #'s 6 thru 9 are all about the same coloring and on a average each have 2-3 chips. #'s 3,4, and 5 are darker and are a deeper plate, almost like a shallow soup plate and each of these have 1 or 2 chips. #'s 1 and 2 are a lighter blue and more crudely made and have no visable chips--maybe just a tiny rough edge. All of these plates are definetely from the 1800's and are not the modern day reproductions that are flooding the market made in china. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE DIFFERENT COLORING IN BLUE AND CHIPS, ETC. THEY WOULD REALLY SHOW OFF A CORNER CUPBOARD or other ways of decorating in the home. « Less

Circa 1880-1920 Chinese Export Rare Blue and White Duck Tureen with Cover. Duck Tureens in Chinese Export Porcelain are rare. The only duck tureen we have ever had in chinese export was in mottahedah which was a reproduction of a early chinese export mold. I have seen them in chinese export famille rose rose medallion and rose mandarin a few times. This tureen measures 13" X 7 1/2" and is 9" in height to the top of the duck's head. Good Condition. Fresh out of a Tureen Collection which also included a English Minton Majolica game pie tureen and a German Meissen Blue Onion Soup Tureen. Circa 1920 German Meissen Blue Onion Soup Tureen with cover and underplate. This is a 20th century production of blue onion made in Germany. In the images you will see the More »
Circa 1920 German Meissen Blue Onion Soup Tureen with cover and underplate. This is a 20th century production of blue onion made in Germany. In the images you will see the mark of meissen printed out and this denotes a 20th century manufacture of this very poplular Blue Onion pattern. The mark of the crossed swords in blue onion by Meissen, dates back to Circa 1800. Blue Onion Soup Tureens with underplates and covers are very rare and hard to find especially in the earlier crossed sword marks. The underplate measures 15" X 10" and the tureen is 16" from handle to handle and the height of the tureen to the top of the finial on the cover is 10 1/2". The opening of the tureen is 11" X 8 3/4". Realitively in Good Condition with the exceptions of a few scratches. No Restoration. A real collector's item as Meissen Blue Onion Soup Tureen with cover and underplate is hard to find, even in 20th Century Manufacture. The opening on the cover is for a ladle. We have a non matching white ladle that we will include in the purchase of this tureen. « Less

C. 1775 Chinese Export Famille Rose Acrobatic Mandarin pattern Cup and Saucer,of most unusual subject matter in very good condition. Rare and Scarce. Never Seen this More »
C. 1775 Chinese Export Famille Rose Acrobatic Mandarin pattern Cup and Saucer,of most unusual subject matter in very good condition. Rare and Scarce. Never Seen this Pattern!!! This fine detailed painting was done by a very good artist and great perception in the 1700's, not to mention the superb molded and ribbed form, which is a masterpiece set in the chinese export pattern. Very well painted on both the cup and saucer is a scene of a acrobat on a tightrope walker with two figures cheering him on with their act as entertainers of the court. This scene is painted very nicely on both the cup and saucer The saucer measures 5" in diameter and 1" in depth and has no chips or cracks but does have a tiny hairline which is so tight and small it is hardly noticeable. The cup measures 2" in depth and is 3" in diameter. Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. « Less
