Circa mid 1800 table mount sewing bird, solid brass feather stamped and spring mounted body, pin cushion on bird’s back, plain cast iron table clamp with heart cutout More »
Circa mid 1800 table mount sewing bird, solid brass feather stamped and spring mounted body, pin cushion on bird’s back, plain cast iron table clamp with heart cutout thumb screw.
5.75†tall, 3.75†long, 2†wide.
Condition – excellent, great overall patina. 130
- Identical examples with fancy clamps and “Patented, Feb 15, 1853â€, This patent was granted to Charles Waterman, Meriden, CT.
- Sewing birds are also considered one of the items manufactured by Bradley & Hubbard, Meriden, CT, in the early 1850’s, Some dated models have identical stampings, but generally had floral castings on the clamp. ?-Could this be an early undated and plain version?
- It could probably be assumed the Bradley and Hubbard was the company of choice by Waterman for production and retailing??

This is a very unique and rare Piano Stool from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Typically piano stools are round, however this square stool offers the piano player more comfort and support. The stool screws up and down to adjust the height. The top is old and will need to b reupholstered.
THIS IS A GREAT OLD ANTIQUE (ca 1850-1900) PARLOR STOOL. POSSIBLY A PIANO/ORGAN STOOL. LEGS ARE MADE OF CAST IRON AND THE REST IS WALNUT. VERY STURDY. VERY, VERY NICE.
Stool has a fabric padded adjustable contoured top. Top is adjustable by rotating the top around. There is a slight wobble in top when it is adjusted up high. Top is covered in a beige fabric with non-distinct crossing pattern (needs replacing). Trimmed on edges with a matching lace. Top is in very good condition with no rips, stains, scratches, etc.
Three decorative metal claw legs are all in great condition. They appear to be cast iron. One leg is missing the original screw. Wood pedestal is in good condition as well.

For sale is a very Rare desk set item made by Tiffany Studios of New York. The Item is a "Magnifying Glass" and it is done in the "Pine Needle" desk set pattern. The patina on the metal is the most desirable Green/Brown. The stained glass is the green/white opalescent Favrile glass. The Magnifying Glass 1/2" tall, 8" long and has a diameter of 3 3/4" outside measurement.
This Magnifying Glass displays an Acid Etched Pine Needle Overlay Pattern on Green/White Opalescent Glass in the Handle. The Glass inside of the handles is slightly slumped or curved. This is one the most desirable and Rarest of the Tiffany Pine Needle Desk set pieces to find. The Patina is extremely nice!
The Magnifying Glass is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, or chips to any of the Glass. The only issue I can see is some cloudiness in the lower left corner of the lens. It appears that something was laid on the glass causing this cloudiness from rubbing against it or Glue residue. I'm sure this could be polished out. It can only be seen when held at an angle to the light. The metal face surrounding the Glass has a few very tiny indents to the metal. This is all considered minor and does not take away value from the piece. The Magnifying Glass is signed on the bottom underside ring next to where the handle is attached. It is signed with the "Tiffany Studios" impressed mark along one side and the pattern number "903" on the other side.
This is a an extremely nice Magnifying Glass in excellent condition. When these are found there is usually some kind of damage to the glass or the Lens Holder that holds the Glass. Since the glass was curved in these handles when the Glass was dropped it was common for the glass inside to develop a stress crack. I am very happy to report that this one has No Cracked Glass!! I believe the Pine Needle Pattern to have been the first of the Fancy Goods Product lines made at Tiffany Studios. Those of you who are looking for an excellent example of the Magnifying Glass in the Pine Needle Pattern will be delighted with their purchase.
Tiffany Studios assigned a number to their desk set pieces after 1902. Up until then they were only Signed "Tiffany Studios" or "Tiffany Studios New York". This piece was made, circa 1902-1920. « Less

For sale I have a Desk Set Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This is only 2 items from a 7 Piece Desk Set that I recently purchased from a Maine Estate. I sold the Notepad, Stamp Box and Rocker Blotter so there are only 4 pieces left. The Item for Auction is a pair of "Blotter Ends" and it is done in Tiffany's "American Indian" Desk Set Pattern. The Blotter Ends measures 19 1/4" long and is 2 1/4" deep at it widest point. They are low profile as they only stand 1/2" tall.
The Blotter Ends have the very desirable "Craftsman Brown" Patina and is a real Collectors Choice in The Arts and Crafts Style Decor. This is the most sought after and most Popular Patina in this Desk Set Pattern. This Desk set Item displays wonderful Geometric Patterns and Symbols to Honor "The American Indian".
The Blotter Ends are considered to be in excellent-mint condition as there are no dents, or dings. These 2 pieces show very minimal wear. The piece is signed on the bottom with "Tiffany Studios New York" Impressed Mark along with the Pattern Number 1181 for the Blotter Ends Number.
I will also be listing the "Calendar/Picture Frame", Inkwell". These are in the same condition and Patina as the Blotter Ends. Please email me directly if you are interested in purchasing the rest of the Set. My email address is below.
Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this piece was made early circa 1902-1910. This is a quality item in the Tiffany Desk Set Items. The Quality and Patina doesn't get much better than this. I'm Sure the Lucky Buyer will be delighted with their purchase. « Less
