For Sale I have a wonderful piece of Art Pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is "Malverne or Malvern" as it is spelled both ways. The Shape is considered a Double Handled Planter or Jardinière. The Planter is a good size as it stands 4 1/2" tall to the top of the Handles and 6 7/8" in diameter outside handles measurements. The Planter Displays wonderful Raised or Embossed Leaves that have a Twig or Branch attached on a Fern or Tree Bark textured background. These Branches on each leaf rise from the leaf up to the Top and Form the Two Looped Handles on each Side. What a Nice Organic feel this Pot has!! The Glaze is another story in its own. The lower background has a very pleasing Dark Mauve Mottled background Glaze with the Top Half being a Mottled Green Fern Colored Glaze. The Branches are done in a Matt Black Glaze. The Interior is as beautiful as the Exterior. It displays a Mottled Pea Green at the Bottom to a deeper Mottled Fern Green at the top. This Glaze is simply Gorgeous!! The Planter is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The Pieces is signed on the bottom with the Incised "Weller Pottery" written in Script Signature Mark. There is also the number 12 written in Black Ink or Glaze. This was more than likely the finishers number. Those of you who collect the Malverne Pattern and want an excellent example both in form and Glaze Combination should not let this one slip by. The piece was made Circa 1927-1933. « Less

For Sale I have a Delightful Vase made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is known as "Patricia"and the form is a Double Handled Vase. It is a good size as it measures 6 5/8" tall and is 8" wide outside handles measurement. The Vase displays Geese Heads for handles and has embossed leaves surrounding the vessel. This vase has just an outstanding glaze. The vase displays a mottled beige background with Moss Green on the Ferns, the Heads and Necks of the Geese along with a crystalline over-glaze. The mottling in the background is just outstanding!!. There is also some Sage Green on the Geese Bills as well as by the center cluster of leaves. There is also some Crystalline Speckling throughout to finish off this exquisite piece. This Vase is somewhat rare as much of the Patricia Line was made into bowls and is usually found in White or Blue. This one is not! It is a Vase with a Great Glaze which makes this much more desirable. The Vase is considered to be in Excellent condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. There Isn't even a few pin pops in the glaze. This piece is signed on the bottom with "Weller Pottery" incised in cursive. This wonderful mottled speckled glaze is even on the bottom. The Vase shows minimal wear and I would suggest that it was packed away for many years or only sat in a Cabinet with other collectibles. This Vase is an excellent example both in form and in Glaze combination. This Style of Art Pottery would look great in any Arts and Crafts, Mission or Country Decor. The Vase is from Weller's Late Period. The piece was made, Circa 1935-1948. « Less

For sale I have a lovely piece of pottery made by the Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and the pattern is known as "Silvertone". The Vase measures 8 3/8" tall and is 8" in diameter outside handle measurements. The opening in the neck of the Vase is 2 3/8" wide so it could hold an elaborate bouquet of flowers.
The Vase depicts Red Poppies in Full Bloom set on Branches with Leaves adorning both the front and back of the piece. There are two applied handles on each side that are twisted starting at the shoulder and ending at the waist. They are gnarly and meant to simulate the branches that these lovely flowers are growing from. The Leaves are a soft mint Green and these are set on a swirled Lavender background. The rim of the Vase is Flared and Ruffled giving it a feminine presence. The Glazing of this piece reminds me on an Impressionist style painting.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is one rough spot on the bottom edge that I have shown for a close up in Picture # 6. This is a factory flaw or rough spot and is only shown for accuracy. It does not detract from the beauty of this Vase. The piece is signed with Weller's half kiln Ink Stamp along with the letter "A" which is the artist signature.
This Vase is from Wellers Middle Period, Circa 1918-1935. « Less

For sale I have a very hard to find piece of Art Pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is known as "WoodCraft" and the item is Called a "Flower Block" or Flower Frog. The block stands 1 1/4" tall and is 2 1/8" in diameter.
The Flower Block display a very nice Semi Gloss Glaze of tones of Green with some Brown. There are 5 Holes to hold flowers. My assumption this Block was designed to hold Small Flowers like Crocus and Forget-Me-Nots.
The Flower Block is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is not signed but there is no mistaken for this to have been made by Weller. There is a small of white paint on the bottom. I only noticed this when I was taking pictures. This should come off with ease.
These Flower Blocks or Frogs were designed to fit in small bowls or Vases. These were usually lost or they sustained damage. It is absolutely amazing this one has lasted 85-90 years without a Flea Nick.
This piece was made Circa 1920-1933. « Less

For saleI have a Wonderful Piece of Art Pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Log Planter or Window Box and the pattern is the ever popular "Woodcraft". The Planter measures 9 1/2" long and is approximately 4 1/4" deep. The Log measures approximately 4 3/4" high at the arch of the Handle.
The Planter depicts a tree bark background with Oak Leaves embossed on both sides of the piece. The Glaze is a soft Caramel blended with Moss Green. It is very life like and also has the knots for a realistic look. There are four branches coming off the bottom of the Planter for the feet along with a twig style handle complete with the tree bark detailing. Both of the ends are smooth and the artist that made this even did alternating green and honey brown rings to depict the circles that happen naturally as the tree ages.
The log is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. There is a hole in each of the feet that are from when it was manufactured and I believe these are the stilt marks. There are also a couple of pin pops but they are common with this glaze and do not detract from the beauty of this whimsical Log. The Planter is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Weller.
This piece was made Circa 1917-1928. Those of you who collect Woodcraft pieces will surely Welcome this one into your collection. This would look just wonderful on that Stickley. Mission, Arts and Crafts Style Bookcase. « Less

For Sale is a Cute Art Pottery Planter made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is the ever so Popular "Woodcraft" pattern and the Design is that of a Squirrel sitting on a branch eating a Nut. The Shape is Considered a Planter or Bowl. The Planter or Bowl stands 3 1/4" Tall and is 6 1/2" in diameter at its widest point. The Planter Depicts 4 Separate Panels of a Squirrel Sitting on a Branch getting ready to eat an Acorn in a Forest scene. There is wonderful Green Foliage in the background of each Panel as well as deep Brown Branches forming the Outline or Cameo for each Squirrel including the Branch he is sitting on. The Planter has 4 Raised Lobed Feet giving this piece that added height. This pattern is a Nature Lovers delight. The Colors are Good and the Detail just splendid as it displays a very Naturalistic View. The Planter is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no Cracks, or Chips. The piece is unsigned as is the case with most of these Squirrel Planters. They probably had a paper or foil label at one time. There is a number 15x written in a Black Grease Pen on the bottom and was more than likely the finishers number. Woodcraft is a very Popular Line to collect and this Particular Planter is one of the most desirable to own. Those of you who collect Weller Pottery especially the Woodcraft Line and want an very nice example this is the piece to purchase. It is as clean as it gets. It appears that this Bowl sat on a Shelf and was not used as the condition both inside and out is outstanding! Sometimes this pattern is confused with Flemish as Weller Categorized them as such. Woodcraft is from Weller Pottery's middle period, Circa 1920-1933. « Less

For sale I have a Wonderful Piece of Art Pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. What I have is a "Tree Stump Flower Frog" and it is done in one of Weller's Most Popular Glazes or Lines. The Glaze is known "Woodcraft". The Flower Frog stands 3 3/4" tall and is 6 1/4" in diameter.
The Flower Frog Vase displays wonderful earth tone glazes of Matte Brown and Green. The detail is just wonderful as the Raised Roots intertwine throughout the 7 Raised Stumps. These are nestled amongst a Forest colored Floor or ground. The 7 Raised Stumps all have an aperture in them allowing for a multiple arrangements of Flowers and Ferns. There are six stumps with the same diameter aperture with the Center Stump Aperture being a little bit larger. The Piece is unsigned and only has a large letter A written in a deep Green Glaze. This is the same glaze that is on the bottom but it is a little bit darker. This was more than likely the Artist or Finisher's Signature Initial.
The Flower Frog Vase is considered to be in Very Good Condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are the usual Factory Flaws with this piece and all of those are glaze over. There is a Factory Line Separation along the very bottom right edge on one of the 3 Flower Frog Stump Holes. This is factory as it is glazed over and mention for accuracy. This is a wonderful Flower Frog that you don't normally come across. Those of you who collect Weller's Woodcraft Line know exactly what you are looking at. I guarantee this Flower Frog to be made by The Weller Pottery Company.
This piece was made Circa 1917-1928. Those of you who collect Woodcraft pieces will surely Welcome this one into your collection. This is one of the Rarest of the Woodcraft pieces to own. This would look just wonderful on that Stickley. Mission, Arts and Crafts Style Bookcase. « Less

For sale I have a wonderful piece of pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. It is a Vase in the ever popular Woodcraft line. I have also seen it listed under the Flemish line as well. The Vase is 10 3/16" tall and is approximately 4 7/8" in diameter.
The Vase depicts a tree branch of a Tree in Full Bloom with Flowers. These Flowers appear to be "Wild Roses". There are Earth Tones of Brown and Green on the Trunk of the Tree. The Flowers are painted in a Deep Fuchsia to Deep Rose with Brown to Green Flower Centers. These are set against a blended Earth Tone Backgound of Caramel to Green.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Weller. There is an "l" in freehand Black Ink which I believe was the finishers mark.
The piece is made Circa 1920-1933.
This is a very versatile piece that will work with almost any decor as the Woodcraft line was a very extensive line in its day. It focused on Nature at its best whether it be Animals, Flowers or Fruits. « Less

For Sale I have a wonderful piece of pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. It is a Wall Pocket in the ever popular Woodcraft line. The Wall Pocket depicts a tree branch of an Apple Tree in Full Bloom with Fruits and Flowers. There are Earth Tones of Brown and Green on the Trunk of the Tree. The details on this Wall Pocket are Spectacular as all of the Apples are painted Red and not just done carelessly like some of these that you see.
