Circa 1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Lovely pair of antique chinese porcelain flower pots. This form is also referred to as cache pots. The famille rose enamels have the rose medallion and mandarin scenes. The decoration is of high quality with lots of detail and precisely painted. Both of these pieces are in Excellent Condition and Very Good Quality. One of these is 4 1/4" in diameter at the top opening and the measurement in height to the bottom foot is 3". The other one is 4 1/8" in diameter at the top opening and is 2 3/4" in height to it's bottom foot. The feet were supposed to fit into a underplate that neither one of these have. Again both are in Perfect Condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Condition is Good. There is a bit of wear from age and use (mostly visable on the inside)and there is one chip to one of the underside feet of the smaller one.(Not visable when the flower pot is standing) Originally these would have had matched liners often referred to as underplates. But the are not, lost or probably broken thru the years.   « Less

Circa 1740 Chinese nice Canton Famille Rose Tea Caddy. Made during the reign period of Emperor Yongzheng and the Qianlong Period which dates this in the 18TH Century. Measures 4" in height to the top of the cover and 3 1/2" in width and 3" in depth. The condition is Good with only some chips and frits and a few small old restored chips around the cover, which you would suspect in a piece over 250 years old. Spode has been a English Porcelain Maker since the Early 19th Century. Chinese Export Fitzhugh was made in the late 18TH and Early 19TH Century which was made for the English Market. It was made in six colors. Since it was very popular Spode in the late 20TH Century reproduced it and was marketed in department stores in the United States as well as all over the world. I believe it was discontinued a few years ago. This is a replica of several chinese export blue fitzhugh shapes. Included are a Fitzhugh teapot and a large Lighthouse Teapot, which could also be used as a coffee pot, helmut creamer and sugarbowls, And 4 demitasse cups and saucers.   « Less

Circa 1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Cache Pot with undertray #1. It is very rare to find these mandarin cache pots and extra difficult to find one with the right undertray, much less any undertray. It does not get any better than this. This and another very similar one are being listed on our web site. First things First!!This one which is the larger version is 2 5/8" in height and the opening measures over 2 3/4" in diameter. The undertray is 3 1/4" in diameter and is a perfect fit. The cache pot is rose mandarin with mandarin ladies only separated by the background of a building and flowers and trees. The underplate is all green and pink flowers with no people so it is considered rose canton. These two pieces were made for each other as they would not have made a underplate in mandarin. Usually all underplates in famille rose were made in rose canton. They are a perfect fit. Excellent Quality and in Perfect Condition.   « Less

Circa 1770 Chinese Export Armorial Tea Cup with a monogrammed initial of M under the crown. This finely detailed armorial is magnificent not to mention the beautiful spearhead border on the inside of the cup. we recently purchased many pieces of this same initial and crown out of a estate in Florida. As you would expect on dainty pieces of porcelain over 225 years old, it is almost impossible to find a perfect piece. Of all the pieces this one is in the best condition with only a minimal tiny nick at the rim as shown in one of the images. This little nick is far away from the beautiful crown and gilded rim on the outside and a beautiful blue spearhead border in the inside. Hardly any gilt wear to speak of. The monogrammed initial has very little wear. The only wear on the rim is at the nick. this cup measures 2" in height and 3 1/8" in diameter.   « Less

This is one of two of these dishes that we have with a monogrammed M and a Crown above the monogram.
