Victorian, circa 1880 Pair Majolica two handled vases, each handle modeled in the form of a lioness. Sides of the vase have a light turquoise panel with raised floral decoration. Leaf moldings around the bases and to bottom of handles. Pink interiors. Impressed maker''s marks to bases. Generally good. One crack around the shoulders of one lioness. No hairlines. Victorian, circa 1870 Pair Majolica candlesticks in the form of a male and female harvester. The young man is standing cross legged, holding a bundle of corn under one arm, with his other elbow leaning on a branch. A beehive sits underneath the branch, with more corn and a scythe on the ground in front. The young lady has fruit and flowers gathered in her jacket, and holds some fruit in her left hand. More flowers are molded on the ground at her feet. Both figures are molded on circular, naturalistic mounds on top of scroll molded bases. Candle holders in the form of leafy pillars behind the figures, finishing in cobalt sconces. Cream glaze to base interiors, along with three stilt marks and a vent hole. Good. No restoration. Boy: Abrasions around the sconce rim. Girl: Kiln effects: shrinkage crack on one side of her skirt; shrinkage crack and a tight shrinkage line to underside base edge.
