For Sale is a wonderful Silver Plate set made by The Wilcox Silver Plate Company of Meriden, CT. I have a nice three piece set consisting of a Creamer, Covered Sugar and More »
For Sale is a wonderful Silver Plate set made by The Wilcox Silver Plate Company of Meriden, CT. I have a nice three piece set consisting of a Creamer, Covered Sugar and Celery Vase. The Creamer measures 4 1/2" tall and 4 3/4" in diameter outside handle measurement. The Covered Sugar measures 4 1/2" tall and is 6 1/2" in diameter outside handles measurement. The Celery Vase measures 4 1/2" tall and 5 5/8" in diameter outside handles measurement.
The body of each piece has an embossed pattern of flowers and leaves in high relief (Repousse-Ornamentation of metal in relief by pressing or hammering on the reverse side) while the lip displays a ruffled design. Each piece has heavy Victorian Style handle or handles. The entire set sits on a flat bottom. The etched detail in the Flowers and veining in the leaves is just outstanding.
Each piece is considered to be in very good condition as there are no Cracks or major dents to the Metal. The Covered sugar lid has a minor ding in the top and can be easily push back in place with a tool. The set is tarnished and show signs of use. Each piece in the set is signed and I will list what each one below has for a mark.
Covered Sugar- Signed with the Circular Mark with Quadruple Plate along the top and Meriden, Conn on the bottom. There is also the Pattern number 5021 and the capital letters "BC" just under Meriden, Conn.
Creamer- Signed with the Circular Mark with Quadruple Plate along the top and Meriden, Conn on the bottom. There is also the Pattern number 5321 and the capital letters "BC" just above Quadruple Plate. There is also the word "GILT" under the pattern number.
Celery Vase- Signed with the Circular Mark with Quadruple Plate along the top and Meriden, Conn on the bottom. There is also the Pattern number 5321 and the capital letters "BC" just above Quadruple Plate.
The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. has a history dating back to 1865. It was organized in Meriden, Conn by Jedediah and Horace Wilcox. The company was based in Meriden, Connecticut and was one of the original firms that helped form the International Silver Company in 1898.. Purchase with confidence as this set when cleaned and polished will enhance any Victorian Style Decor. This set was made Circa 1880-1885.

For Sale is a Card Tray and it is made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Card Tray or Plate stands 1" tall and has a Diameter of 7". This Patina is has a Gold Acid Etched or (Dore') French for Gold finish. This is actually 18 KT Gold Plate on top of the acid etched finish. The base metal is a bronze.
The pattern is a very pleasing Arts & Crafts Pattern consisting of a band of Stylized Arts and Crafts Flowers with a Celtic Style wreath connecting to each flower. This is along the entire inside edge of the plate. The finish is the Acid Etched snowflakes on metal. Tiffany used different sizes for the etched flakes. This one is the smallest of the flakes. The bowl has a pleasing stepped form and the finish is on both sides of the Tray.
The Tray is considered to be in excellent condition as the only issues to report is some darker spots on the Dore' interior. These can be polished out but I will leave that to the new owner. The underside is more tarnished than the inside. This was a used piece but the owner keep the inside cleaner than the outside. The Gold Acid Etched Finish is considered to be an excellent example!! The piece is signed on the underside with the impressed "Tiffany Studios New York" impressed signature mark along with the pattern number of "1704" impressed as well. There are the numbers "1154" lightly etched by the impressed signature mark. This is more than likely a Special Order Number.
This will make a wonderful addition to those collecting desk set pieces made by L.C.T. Tiffany Studios especially in The Gold (Dore') Patina. Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this piece was made circa 1902-1910. « Less

For Sale is a Bronze Tray and it is made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Tazza or Compote is a nice size as it measures 9 3/4" in diameter. It stands 1 1/8" tall. The Round foot has a diameter of 3 3/4". This Patina, is known as a Gold Acid Etched or Dore' finish. This is actually 18 KT Gold Plate on top of the acid etched finish. The base metal is bronze.
The Compote displays a Brilliant Acid Etched Dore', "French" for Gold Patina. It has an acid etched small flake textured finish. The outer edge of the tray has a wonderful impressed Arts and Crafts design similar to a Greek Key pattern. The Compote tray is supported by a round foot that has substantial weight and is quite solid. This is the first time I have ever owned this Tray from Tiffany Studios. I would consider this particular compote to be some what Hard to Find with this particular pattern.
The Compote is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no major dents or dings to the piece. The round outer edge is not perfectly round but for the most part it is. The Dore' Patina is about as good as it gets. This piece has minimal wear. There is minor staining on the underside bottom. The piece is signed on the bottom with "Tiffany Studios New York" impressed mark along with the model number "1744" impressed as well.
Tiffany started using a 3 digit number for his Fancy Desk Set goods after 1902 subsequently this piece was made circa 1905-1915. « Less

This is a magnificent vintage curling iron HEATER from 1925. The name on the pieces is: The Master Electric Company Curling Iron Heater, Serial #94239, 110 Volt, 143 Watts, Chicago Ill. This comes in half of the original box.
This is before curling irons were electric. You placed the curling iron into this device, plugged the device in and the curling iron heated up so you could curl your hair! I have included 4 non electric curling irons made of metal. One has wooden handles with paint coming off, 3 have metal handles. Two are 11 inches in length and two are 10 inches. There is an electric curling iron with the old style plug. I plugged it in and it does work. State of the art in the 1925 era!
Great decorator piece for a Beauticians shop! Makes me glad I did not have to use those! « Less
