Both pets and the children''s feet rest upon cushions. Wheat sheaf style spill vases. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Orange spill interior. No book reference found. Generally good. Slight rubbing to gilt. Boy: Tiny flake to hat brim. Kiln effect: overall crazing which is stained on the front. Repaired crack to reverse of base. Restored chip to spill rim at reverse. Retouching to the dog''s ear. Girl: Some flakes to reverse and upper base edge. Paint loss to her shoes. Kiln effects: overall, stained crazing; glaze pops to her hair; shrinkage line to reverse between spill and girl''s head; shrinkage line along the mold join to right of spill. Stream flowing past to the side. Molded on a square, marble effect base with title ''ELIJAH'' to the front. Arms and one leg molded free. Decorated all round. Vent hole to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Shallow chip to underside at front. Some small flakes to upper base edge. Kiln effect: kiln detritus on top of the base. Restoration of the raven''s rear. The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout. Meandering strawberry borders. Colours green, gold, pink, brown and cream. Verse reads ''The Voice that speaks Jehovah near. The still small voice I long to hear O might> it now my Lord proclaim. And fill my soul with holy shame Ashamed I must> for ever be. Ashamd the God of love to see If saints and prophets hide their face> And angels tremble while they gaze Jesus is A quiet mind Jesus is a gentle mind> Jesus is A patient mind In> Jesus is A noble mind In> Jesus is A spotless mind Jesus is> A loving mind Jesus is A thankful mind> Plant and root and fix> In me All the mind> That was in thee> Settled peace I then> Shall find Jesu is A> Perfect mind Jesus>''.
