This is a fantastic antique Art Deco pendant light with its original skyscraper globe, c. 1930’s. This one-light pendant begins with an understated canopy that comes down to a sleek matching shade holder. The light has a bold skyscraper milk glass shade with black contour lines. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The pendant measures 11” wide and 19” tall (body only), and 39-3/4” long overall. Rectangular smokey quartz stone mounted in 14kt gold - rather a Deco setting, emerald cut to the stone, with the shoulders splitting into two and forming the claws of the setting. Stone measures 12 mm by 7 mm (1/2 inch by just over 1/4 inch). The ring fitting is English size J (USA size 4.1/2 to 5) with an internal diameter of 15.52 mm. The mount and band are in excellent condition, the stone looks good to the naked eye - under magnification it shows abrasions to the facet edges, especially the lower edges. Hallmarks are unusually stamped underneath the setting of the stone, and are rather rubbed. There is another hallmark in the usual place, which just says "CT" - presumably the ring was sized down at some time, and the rest of the mark lost. Attractive ring, very classic lines.   « Less

A fabulous pair of antique two-arm Art Deco sconces, dating from the 1920’s and found in a home in Chicago, IL. These bronze sconces feature a beautifully cast circular backplate with geometric lines; an open framework in the shape of an inverted skyscraper protrudes from the backplate. Two striking bobeches flank a central medallion within the framework and are accented with pierced spike finials. Stylized foliates and pointed geometric details accent the sconces throughout. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition, they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A beautiful antique Art Deco pendant light, dating from the 1930’s and found in a home in Charlotte, NC. The two-light pendant features a frosted, inverted dome shade adorned with a beaded border and a batwinged cap. Above the shade is a pineapple-shaped finial composed of a molded glass body with four curling prongs stemming from its top. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition, with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites.
