Cover is surmounted by a swan resting on a pond lily leaf. Pink interior. Three stilt marks and a vent hole to underside of cover. Green and brown mottled underside to dish. Similar piece illustrated on page 48, ''The Collectors Encyclopedia of Majolica'' by Mariann Katz-Marks. Fair. Cover: Kiln effects: glaze miss to under rim; thinning of the cobalt glaze in some areas; crazing to the cobalt border. Old restoration to swan''s neck and back.
