Four rectangular, ochre feet underneath. Three stilt marks to underside along with raised pattern registration diamond, impressed maker''s marks ''MINTON'', ''1552'' and date cipher for 1871. Good. She carries a basket and he carries a bag. Both children are wearing the uniform of the school founded by George Muller. This school, along with The Red Maids school and Christ''s Hospital school, were founded in Bristol by philanthropists to care for the poor and orphaned. Decorated all round. Vent hole to reverse.
