Impressed maker''s mark ''M.MAFRA CALDAS PORTUGAL'' and inscribed ''8''. Generally good. No hairlines. Very minor flaking to the moss. Kiln effects: some over glazed manufacture chips to the foot; piece of kiln detritus to the snake. Restoration of the moth''s upper wings. Repaired crack to the rim and another to the foot. Right facing: Very minor paint loss to nose. Chip to underside. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack along the mold join to chest; small shrinkage crack and glaze miss to reverse of base; some small stray spots of brown glaze to white areas. Both modeled on a naturalistic mound upon a square, red lined, plinth base. Decorated all round. Vent hole to underside of bases. Generally good. No restoration. Kosmos burner (made by Guadard) to ring. Design registration number ''RdNo5313'' to one burner. Good. A couple of flaws in the glass to one font. Some wear to the brass columns and bases.
