Spill vase in the form of a tree with shredded clay decoration. Dull gilt base line and around spill rim. Victorian, circa 1870 Holdcroft Majolica pitcher modeled in an unusual disc shape, decorated on either side with two fish on a naturalistic cobalt background. Ochre around the rim with seaweed molding below the spout. Bamboo molded handle. Turquoise interior, foot, and around sides. Green glaze to underside of foot along with impressed unreadable pattern registration diamond and a painted mark. Good. No restoration. No hairlines. Small shallow chip to ochre rim around the side. Slight wear to cobalt ground. Kiln effects: thin glaze inside neck showing brown coloration; small firing hole to ochre rim around spout; small shrinkage crack to top of handle; glaze miss to lower base edge. 8ins high « Less

Mauve interior. Mottled green and brown reverse to stand. Three stilt marks and impressed mark inside the foot. Painted mark and three stilt marks inside the dome. Generally good. Dome: Two flakes to top edge. Kiln effects: brown glaze run to exterior; small touch mark to base edge. Restoration to handle. Stand: A few flakes around the edge. Some wear to reverse. Kiln effect: crazing with slight staining to center, small brown glaze run from edge into center. Restored chip and bruise to inner rim. Three restored chips to foot.
