Antique Victorian Winged Griffin cast iron boot scraper c1880. This winged Griffin boot scraper is in excellent original condition. Measures 12 and one half inches long by 9and three quarter inches wide by 6 and one half inches wide. Boot scrapers were and are still used outside to the front and back doors of house so guests can scrap off an dirt or grime before coming into the house. Antique French marquetry fruitwood lapdesk. This "lapdesk" is French c1875. Made from fruitwood with a truly beautiful marquetry design. This lap desk also has a hand painted floral center medallion with a brass ormolu frame. The interior is fitted and covered in rosewood veneer. There are two cut glass inkwells with their original brass covers. There are also two small drawers that can only be seen when the inside lid is opened. This fineFrench lap desk measures 13 and one half inches wide by 11 inches deep when closed and 17 and one half inches deep when open. There is some minor veneer missing inside and one of the brass trim pieces on the bottom front is missing which is hard to notice.   « Less

Casted Bronze F Gornik Cigar Ashtray measures 8 and one quarter inches by 6 and one half inches and is 4 inches high at the highest point. Friedrich Gornik Austrian B 1877 D 1943. He studied sculpture at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. He did work for porcelain factories in Austria depicting small animals later having them cast in bronze. Signed F Gornik with a AR foundry mark.Gornik was an excellent sculptor and his works well regarded. This casted bronze ashtray has two birds which can be seen in more detail in the accompanying photographs.   « Less

Made form sterling silver, measures 27 inches wide by 19 and one half inches deep by 10 inches high.There are four blown glass decanters covered boxes candlesticks Sterling dishes,mirrors,there are seventeen pieces of sterling silver on top with another compartmented section with combs,brushes, covered boxes, and many other accessories all with solid 18k yellow gold Crown monograms. The box is solid oak retaining its original recessed hardware and key. Aucoc was established in the beginning of the 19th century and was the favorite jewelry and silver supplier to the house of King Louis Philippe,the family of Orleans and also Napoleon lll also Emperous Eugenie. The family of Aucoc sold the buisness in 1932. Aucoc was located at 6 rue de La Paix the premier location in Paris.They were the Tiffany's of France. This set is in excellent original condition. A very attractive Japanese, Golden Era cloisonne cigarette case with a blue, writhing dragon against a white field. The interior is enameled in blue to create a complete statement. The brass or bronze case was originally silvered but that has worn away on the contact surfaces. While there is only minor cracking and mini chips from use, it seems that moisture has entered at the seams and created some discoloration at the edges. The elastic bands that retain the cigarettes in place are missing. A very seldom encountered piece of Golden Era cloisonne. Approximately 3.5" by 4.75".   « Less
