This is a fantastic antique Art Deco slip shade chandelier found in Chicago, c.1930, in its original polychrome finish. Made by the Lincoln Company, the five-light chandelier begins with a polychrome canopy ornamented with alternating flowers and leaves. The chandelier comes down in a rod surrounded by a metal framework composed of volutes in a geometric design. The body is ornamented in a marvelous Art Deco motif with geometric detail, volutes, and flowers; it holds five gadrooned slip shades ornamented with volute accents. The fixture finishes in a dangling shield-shaped finial accented with volute motifs. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with no cracks or breaks to the slipper shades, just the expected fleabites. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19-1/4" wide, 25-3/4" tall. The sconces have a cylindrical white porcelain bobeche with a charming little pull switch at the bottom and an electrical outlet on the bottom of the backplate. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with working switches ; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Wonderful 5 light, clam shell shade, chandelier from the 1930's. The light has a mixed metal pewter and brass finish. The shades are simply fantastic. No damage at all, and have extremely rich colors. This light has a drop of a mere 14 inches, but it could also be lengthened by adding a little extra chain. It has a diameter of 18 1/2”. It was totally re-wired in our UL shop, with new sockets and new lead wire. Each slip shade socket can easily take a 100 watt bulb. We are also supplying the bracket (crossbar) for this light, so literally, you can hang this light and have it working minutes after receiving it. This wonderful and uncommon copper-bronze finished chandelier has a very striking presentation. It is lovely and very '30s. This five light chandelier has been re-wired with new sockets, each capable of a 100 watt standard incandescent bulb. It was made during the 1930’s, and it has all matching amber shades with clear floral panels. The shades are in excellent condition without chips or cracks...only minor roughness where they go in and out of the fitter...but not seen when mounted and very minor in any case. And...they all match. Many Art Deco lighting dealers are charging $250 to $300 EACH for these shades. If you wish to consider value, just do the multiple of five...compare to our price for the entire re-wired chandelier and find true reasonability. Measurements: 23 inches in overall height, with a diameter of 14 1/2” inches from shade tip to shade tip. Made by Globe Mnf in the 1930s, these wall sconces are in very nice condition. The cast iron frames are au naturel. The slip-in shades are finished in a nice amber, with traces of darker amber in the recessed lines. Very attractive in contrast with the iron backplates. Measuring 8 1/2" tall, with a width of 6 1/2", they project into a room 6 1/2” from the wall. These sconces have been completely rewired with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the switches, made by Leviton in the 20’s...and still made up to ONE year ago. So these switches, by Leviton, are becoming even more antique as we note this. Lovely circa 1936 Streamline chandelier. Original antique chandelier, with original antique shades. Note how the shade fitters sweep up and hold the tapered shades so nicely. The rim of the fitter has been nicely reticulated, with design, to make the shade seem to mold right into the fixture. A very nice touch indeed. The frame is a contrast between black and nickel plating, as shown in the pictures. The frame is showing its age, like a good Persian carpet, but in no way can it be considered in bad condition. It simply is mellowed out after all these years. Nickel plating is more mellow than hard chrome, and gives a more aged ambiance to the fixture. The shades are custard glass with a simple pattern, and match the round areas of the frame quite well. They are in excellent condition. This chandelier has been completely re-wired, with new sockets and all new wire, in our UL shop. Measurements: The overall height is 22”. The overall diameter is 20 1/2”, measured from the outside edge of one shade, to the outside edge of the shade opposite. $935.00 for this neat chandelier, plus $50.00 for careful packaging and shipping within the contiguous 48 states. Lovely pair of wall sconces. Original antique backplates and original antique shades. These sconces have a close-to-Streamline appearance, with a slightly earlier Deco touch to the bottom of the backplates. The pewter color backplates have nice brass accents, but the more restrained backplate design is so typical of the late Deco design style, i.e. more like Streamline Art Deco. The shades are a nice reeded custard glass, with small beads running along with the reeding. They match the straight line ambiance of the fixtures quite well. They are in excellent condition. The metal of the backplates is cast iron, with a lovely pewter finish. Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire in our UL listed workshop. Please note that the switches for these lights are directly below the shades. They are part of the socket, and make an integral part of the light. They are a rotary style deco switch used from about 1910 onward. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 8 1/2”. The maximum width (which is the shade) is 6”. It will project into the room from the wall 7”.
