Gray underside with molded maker''s mark, ''MINTONS ENGLAND''. Good. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack to the underside; a couple of areas of thin glaze application to the head and one to wing on the reverse; piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle; and a few specks of kiln soot caught in the glaze to the head. Repaired crack along the mold line running from back of dog''s head and down its back. Retouched flake to the boy''s head. Girl: Very minor paint loss to her eyes.
