Circa 1910 WMF Figural centrepiece with maiden, boy and glass bowl. Features a naked boy and girl, entwined in a sheet. A tree winds around them. Ivy base with four feet. Impressed maker''s marks to reverse of one foot ''WMF'', ''EP'' (electroplated), ''I/O'' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and ''as'' (antique silver finish). The glass bowl has flowers and leaves etched around the sides, in the art nouveau style. Please note, the piece is quite heavy, weighing 5.4kg Base: Generally good. Usual wear. Split to stem of one twig. Some tarnishing. Bowl: One under rim chip. Very slight wear to the bowl interior. The join between the bowl and the base is strong enough for decorative purposes, but would need strengthening to support heavy objects. Please note, this piece will be shipped in two parts. Decorated with feathered black markings to bodies. Vent hole to underside. Good. Right facing: Kiln effect: small shrinkage line to tail. Retouching to claws, ears and leaves. Victorian, circa 1870 Majolica muffin stand and cover, decorated with sprigs of apple blossom on turquoise ground. Handle on top of cover in the form of two branches bound together. Pink interior with stilt marks and vent holes. Mottled center to stand with an ochre border. Mottled reverse. Three stilt marks, impressed mark and number 5 in reserve to the underside of the stand. Good. Slight wear to the flowers and leaves. Cover: No cracks. Small chip to flower. Flake to underside of rim, and small flakes around the vent holes. Kiln effect: couple of small firing pits. Repaired hairline to rim. Stand: No restoration. No hairlines. No chips. Kiln effects: two shrinkage cracks to the inner rim of the stand; craze lines to the turquoise of the stand; a few specks of kiln grit in the glaze just outside the inner rim; glaze pops to the mottled center, and to the underside. 10ins diameter, 5.5ins high   « Less

Dish is decorated with a large pond lily pad, strawberry leaf and flower moldings, inside a turquoise basket. Mottled reverse. Three stilt marks inside the foot along with impressed pattern registration diamond for 19th February 1876 and pattern number ''50'' painted in reserve. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Tiny bruise to edge of left hand flower. Slightly stained crazing to the lily pad. Two repaired hairlines to the rim. One restored petal to right hand flower. Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica three piece strawberry server. Oval shaped platter decorated in relief with strawberry fruits, leaves and flowers on turquoise ground. Ochre rim with a hole at either end to hold the sugar bowl and creamer. Mottled reverse with three stilt marks, impressed pattern registration diamond for 16th Jan 1872, and painted mark ''3217 40'' in reserve inside the foot. Sugar bowl and creamer molded as strawberry leaves, both pieces with a pedestal foot and turquoise interior. Twisted leaf handle with a strawberry flower at the top to creamer. Stilt marks and a vent hole to underside of both. Server: Good. Very slight wear to interior. Two repaired hairlines to rim. Sugar: Generally good. Two tight rim hairlines, one slightly visible on the exterior. Restored chip to rim. Creamer: Good. Kiln effect: glaze pops to underside. Server: 14.25ins, Sugar: 2.75ins, Creamer: 3.25ins   « Less

Impressed ''WMF'' ostrich monogram to underside along with ''B'' - Britannia metal, ''I/O'' - normal thickness of plating/gilding, and ''OX'' - Oxidised. Illustrated on page 140, catalogue number 144, ''Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik'' published by the ''Antique Collectors Club''. Generally good. No repairs. William IV, dated 1836 Large 1836 Silkwork Sampler by Maria Druce. Framed in an old, possibly original, wood frame with gilt slip and rippled, old glass. Tacked to wood with card backing. The sampler is finely worked in silk on linen ground, in a variety of stitches. Triangle border inside a meandering floral border. Colours gold, blue, black, magenta, copper and greens. Verse entitled ''A CONTEMPLATION ON NIGHT.'' reads ''When the pure soul is from the body flown,> No more shall Night''s alternate reign be known;> The sun no more shall rolling light bestow,> But from the Almighty streams of glory flow.> Oh! May some nobler thought my soul employ,> Than empty, transient, sublunary joy.> The stars shall drop, the sun shall lose his flame,> But thou, O God: for ever shine the same.''. Signed and dated ''18 Maria Druce Aged 12 Years 36''. A wonderful set of finely embroidered motifs, including a house with a garden below clouds and dogs on the lawn, birds, angels, squirrels nibbling on a nut, fir trees, dogs, blossoming trees, lions, flowers, sheep, butterflies, fruit baskets and potted flowering plants. Generally Good. A number of holes, and a few areas where the ground is thinning. A few stains and uniform age darkening of the ground. Minor stitch loss to the triangle border. Some colours are faded, but the silks are still bright and glossy. No colour run. Stretching is very slightly uneven. Frame in good condition, ready to hang. 24.75ins by 22.25ins wide   « Less
