Vintage, signed Hendryx brass bird cage and stand. Both the cage and stand feature a whimsical "folk art" style paint job in good condition. This charming cage and stand are signed by the well known New Haven Connecticut firm of Hendryx. The cage can be used as a table top model or hung from the stand. The stand and cage are both in good usable condition. Both pieces have some wear to the paint. 65 " tall x 15 1/2" wide x 9" deep. The cage is 15" tall x 13" x 9".   « Less

Circa early 20th century, egg scissors in the form of a rooster. Signed by the very well regarded German maker E.D. Wusthof, Solingen. It is quite heavy for it's size and I am not sure if the body of the rooster is silver and vermeil or brass with silver detail. The cutting blade appears to be stainless steel. Wonderfully detailed from the cock's comb to it's talon feet. Very good "as found" condition with no damage or repair. This fine piece would be a fine addition to any collection. 5 1/4" long x 2 1/2" wide.   « Less

Rare, French, "Grand Tour" souvenir, Mother of Pearl, bronze, glass and brass inkwell in the form of a boat. Substantially sized, all clad in original, fine condition MOP, finished with a bronze railing and pen holder. Each end of the boat or gondola is also finished in bronze with a delicate flourish at each point. The glass and brass inkwell is not removable and has a domed and fluted hinged cover. Good original condition with waviness to the top rail. The hinge is in good working order but the lid sits slightly ajar. The pen is a good match but not original. Marked "Cherbourg" on the deck. Wood bottom. 7 1/2" wide x 3" tall x 2 3/4" deep.   « Less

American Aesthetic Movement, Anglo-Japanesque style pickle castor in silver-plate and finely etched glass. This castor is an Aesthetic collector's dream with a glass insert covered in cranes, palm trees, flowers and leaves The silver-plate stand has a large removable chrysanthemum on each side, smaller floral detail above each ball foot and a "fleur di leis" type of flower on the opposite sides. Each side of the castor frame has a holder, one for fancy tongs (hands with chrysanthemums on the side, probably original) the other for a fork (not original). The jar cover has a fancy finial and monogram and is slightly out of round but fits well. . Signed "Meriden Silver-plate Co.". No breaks, repairs or dents. The silver-plate appears to be in fine condition, we polished it lightly so that the detail could be photographed. The only area of wear is around the monogram.. 4 3/4 " wide x 4 3/4" deep x 12 1/4" tall.   « Less
