This is a superb Art Deco lantern with American Leaded Stained Glass, from St. Louis and dating from the early 1920’s. The pendant begins with an understated canopy that connects to a loop finial by a linked chain. There are six slightly sloped bands connecting the lantern finial to its body. The glass body is composed of six geometrical panels; each panel consists of original white flashed glass and green granite glass, with diamond shaped accents. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. There is a slight color variance in one of the panels as pictured. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern is 6”wide and 11-1/2” tall; the fixture is 27-3/4” long overall.   « Less

Wonderful antique Art Deco skyscraper pendant lights, dating from the 1930’s, with an unusual two-piece shade. The chandeliers feature a stunning white glass skyscraper shade with unusual black detailing and a clear prismatic shade below. The light fixtures and the glass are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. Original antique sconces with an original poly-chrome coloring...although...like a good oriental carpet, it is subdued and mellow and even has some wear....it is in....pretty good condition for all this time though...it probably could be brightened up. However, we like antiques to look like antiques so will leave it to the next owner to make that final finish decision. The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs, they are a deep amber color which is very earthy when not alight. With a strong bulb, they give an ambiance that is quite antique. We took our picture with a 15 watt bulb so the camera would focus on the light and shade detail...not get washed out by too strong a bulb. These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. We have also replaced the rotary switches, made by Leviton in the 20’s...and were still made up to ONE year ago. So these switches, by Leviton are becoming even more rare as we note this. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 10”. The maximum width (shade) is 4 3/4”. It will project into the room 5 1/2” from the wall. Lovely pair of circa 1920 wall sconces. Original antique backplates and original antique shades. These sconces have a lovely Edwardian pewter look and a great design that is so typical of the Edwardian style. The original antique shades are very nice. A frosted center set off by two sections of amber. Being antiques, there is a place “or two” where there are very MINOR flakes to the shades where they fit into the holder (not seen). It is normal 90 year wear-tear and so very minor, but we have to mention it. The metal of the backplates is cast metal with a lovely pewter finish. Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice. These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and all new wire. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 8”. The maximum width (shade) is 5 3/4”. It will project into the room from the wall 6 1/2”. Backplate measurements: 8” tall by 4 1/4” wide. The condition is excellent with very little sign of wear and no damage of any kind. The lamp works just fine but we would highly recommend re-wiring before use. Really quite lovely. Ahh...the French....they sure did like their gorgeous amounts of design and elaboration. Here we have a fine chandelier that has elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco together in one lovely fixture. Circa 1900-1910, it is truly a lovely chandelier. The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs. They are a deep shaded amber color, which is very earthy when not alight. With a strong bulb, they give an ambiance that is quite antique. We took our picture with a low output 15 watt bulb, so the camera would focus on the light and shade detail. A stronger bulb would have washed out the fine decorative elements of this fixture in our picture. This chandelier have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new American sockets and all new wire. There are four normal sockets within the center bowl and each rim shade has a chandelier socket. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 30 1/2”. The maximum width (including the shades) is 26”. Price for the chandelier is “only” $1650.00, plus careful packing and shipping. I say “only” because if you have done some chandelier shopping elsewhere, you will know that some folks are asking upwards of $3,000 for a fixture of this type, and often, not as nice as this one. Fantastic antique Art Deco flush mount schoolhouse light circa the 1930’s from a house in Nashville TN. It has a simple fitter and the shade features a smooth top with a fourfold waterfall type design coming down to a grooved band surrounding the bottom of the shade. The bottom of the fixture features a ziggurat shape with a series of concentric circles. Cast backplates with a pewter finish in a hammered affect design. The shades are really quite interesting. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs, they are a vibrant amber color. I have heard these shades being referred to as "Bully Deco," because of the heavy block and angular designs. These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. The sconces do not have switches but are hard wired to an electrical box for use with a wall switch. Overall Measurements: The overall sconce height (including the shade) is 9 3/8". The maximum width (including the shade) is 4 1/2". It will project into the room from the wall 6 1/8".
