For sale is a very hard to find Rose Bowl Vase made by Fratelli Toso (Murano) of Italy. This Decoration of this Rose Bowl Vase is called "Millefiori" (a thousand flowers). This Rose Bowl is a lovely Cabinet Size as it stands 3 1/4" (82.55 mm) tall and is 3 1/4" (82.55 mm) in diameter at its widest point.
The Vase has an acid matte frosted background base glass. It displays an 8 crimped ruffled top border. The Millefiori decoration is simply outstanding!! It appears that there are no two Murrines exactly the same. They are tightly applied next to each other in a vertical fashion and cover the entire surface of the Vase. You can feel the raised relief of the decoration with your fingers when you run them across the surface.
The Rose Bowl Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is not signed but the decoration is a well documented decor by Fratelli Toso. This is a Rare and early Piece of Murano Art Glass. This piece of glass was made Circa 1900-1920.

For Auction is a Beautiful piece of Carnival Glass made by the Fenton Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The pattern is known as "Grape and Cable" and the shape is a Ruffled Bowl. The Bowl measures 3 1/2" tall and is 7 7/8" in diameter.
The Bowl depicts plump clusters of Grapes with stippled leaves hanging from a vine that appears to be growing on a detailed cable. This pattern is very similar to Northwood's Grape and Cable however the Fenton Pattern is much more bold. The bowl has a ruffled and saw tooth edge that makes it confusing to newer collectors. There are three smooth ball feet to give this beauty some added height and a smooth exterior. The color of this gem is Amethyst and there is iridescence on the interior and exterior. You can see hues of Blue, Gold, Purple, Green and Fuchsia with no loss to the iridescence that I can see.
The Bowl is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be Vintage Fenton.
The piece was made Circa 1920-1925. « Less

For sale is a very lovely piece of Art Glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The item is called a "Bon Bon or Finger Bowl" and it is done in Tiffany's highly sought after Gold Favrile Iridescent Glass. The Bowl stands 2 3/8" tall and has a diameter of approximately 4 3/4" at it widest point. The foot has a diameter of 2 3/4" at it widest measurement.
The Bowl displays a unique shape. It has (8) Vertical ribs along with (8) Clam shaped Finger like Tabs with small ruffles in between each of them at the bottom of the fingers. The vertical ribs divide each finger tab right in the middle. The Gold iridescence is just outstanding!! You can see brilliant Golds with very strong Fuchsia on the inside fingers and Platinum Blue iridescence on the inside bottom. The exterior is equally as beautiful. The Bowl looks metallic yet it is glass.
The Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are a few bubbles within the glass and there are some very minor scratches on the underside outer polished edge. This is typical of age wear and early glass. There is an inclusion or carbon spot in the glass just under one of the small ruffles on the inside of the bowl. There is a quarter moon shaped grooved area just under this inclusion and it is missing a lit bit of iridescence. These issues are all considered Factory and not wear or damage as this piece was made this way. These handmade imperfections can only be seen when held up to the light and is what makes Tiffany "Favrile" meaning "Hand Made" Line of Art Glass what it is.
The Bowl is properly signed in a counter clockwise fashion. It is the etched Script Signature mark which reads "L.C.T". There is also the number "212" lightly etched on one of the flat spots on the bottom. I believe this to be the shape number in Tiffany Favrile Catalog line. I show a few black and white photos taken from the Tiffany Catalog Archives showing this same bowl. Tiffany made this shape for many years. It was an early shape as is evident by its catalog number. I would guess this to have been made circa 1895-1915.
This is a quality piece of Art glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Gold Favrile, Aurene Iridescence is just outstanding!! This is a very nice example of this form and color. It is amazing that this Vase has survived over 100 years without getting any kind of damage. Those of you who collect the Gold Favrile, Aurene Forms will surely welcome this fine addition.
You could use this Bowl as a Shrimp Bowl if you would like. The Shrimp would fit perfectly between the tall tabs. I'm quite sure the Buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. « Less

For sale is a wonderful piece of Art Glass blown by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a Compote or Center Piece Footed Bowl with Rings. The Compote is blown in Frederick Carder's very desirable Topaz Art Glass. The Compote has some size to it as it stands 6 3/4" tall and is 8" in diameter. The foot has a diameter of 4".
The Vase displays a very beautiful Topaz or Amber colored Body, Stem and Foot. The looped applied handles on each side is also done in this beautiful Topaz color. The Rings that are locked inside these loops are done in a Rope Design but they are clear crystal. The Bowl is a very complicated shape and has several interesting parts that comprise it. It first starts with a round raised foot that has a folded edge underneath. It then has a deep Topaz washer shaped knuckle with a Squat circular closed break that is hollow inside. It then has another deep Topaz knuckle that has a top and bottom side on top of that. The Body of the Compote or Bowl is attached to this knuckle. Then the piece takes on interesting handles. These handles are Looped on 2 sides and fused to the bowl. To finish this off Steuben locked in Clear Crystal Twisted Rope Style rings inside. This is very difficult to do and clearly shows the Glass Blowing skills of Steuben's Master Glass Blowers. I see at least 9 steps in just forming this glass vessel without counting the mixing of the Sand and Chemicals to comprise the Topaz Color.
The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. I cannot even see scratches along the underside bottom edge and this leads me to believe that this was a cabinet piece and was rarely used. The Compote is not signed and more than likely had a Paper Label that simply fell off after time.
This was a tough Shape to find documented sales on. I did find a Selenium Red and an Orange Cintra one. They both sold a few years back and they both sold for $1600 plus the Buyers Premium of 20%. I do not feel that the Topaz is worth what the Selenium Red and Cintra pieces are worth.

This a very nice example and I'm quite sure the buyer will be quite pleased with their purchase. This is known as shape number 2942 in the Steuben Catalog pages. This piece was made during the Frederick Carder Years, Circa 1910-1932. « Less

Pretty pair of small bowls, ruby glass - almost cranberry colour - overlaid on clear glass. Etched back in a lovely scroll design, with cut lobed base. They each measure 50 mm high and 107 mm diameter ( 2 inches by 4.1/4 inches). One is in excellent perfect condition, the other has the tiniest of cuts in the rim - it appears under magnification to be in the manufacture, as the ruby colour ripples under it, but it is quite sharp - probably where a bubble in the glass burst after firing. « Less
