Circa 1900 Majolica, probably English Planter decorated in typical blue and green colors. Stands on it's own Three Feet. Has a chip on the outside top of the planter. It has been used of course for what it was designed to be. Years of watering and dirt will do that, but still a nice piece. Early 20TH Century Majolica Planter with Elephant Motif. Very unusual and a conversation piece to say the least. Measures 8" in height and the top opening is 10" in diameter. This jardineer/cache pot will hold your favorite plant or flowers and is a definite conversation piece. This piece of Majolica Pottery dates to the Early 20th Century and the outside of this piece is surrounded by three Elephant Heads with the elephant's trunk on each supporting the planter and acting as the legs to this very unusual piece. Between each elephant are green etruscan that are formed under the base and the leaves sprouting to each elephant trunk. We are showing a total of nine images so you can see this planter's configuration. This has been used as a planter for many years as you can see the earthly stain to the inside of the pot. Early to Mid 19TH Century French Sevres Porcelain Hand Painted Cache-Pot. Nicely painted scenes of two putties and a dove on one side and another panel is showing a red rose blossom over a royal-blue ground. Two nicely gilded handles. On the bottom of the cache pot is the Sevres Factory Mark of a Early time Period which might even be 18th Century. The Cache pot itself is 7" in height and 8 1/2" in width from handle to handle. The opening diameter of the pot is 6 3/4". Excellent Condition with one small nick as shown in the last image.   « Less

Early 20th Century Rose Medallion six-sided Jardineer and often referred to as a Cache Pot or planter. Very much in demand by decorators for clients to plant various flowers and especially orchids. This one comes with a underplate that is not the original. Finding these with the original underplate, which would have been six sided is rare. This underplate is a eight-sided Rose Medallion Plate Measuring 6 1'4" In Diameter and serves the purpose. The height of the jardineer is 5" and the opening for the plant is also 5". Brush Pots used for brushes and combs might have been what this was originally made for,BUT The idea of using this as a planter is better in today's world especially for a sacred bird and butterfly collector. This is the best in sacred bird and butterfly that you will see. Plenty of birds and butterflies in this well decorated piece. Just a great find. Ladies in Texas, this is for you. I have searched high and low for sacred bird and butterfly in the past ten years but is is hard to find. Over ten years ago I purchased a 200 piece set in this pattern and thru it and my web site I met many new great customers. I will not call any of you as you will have to find it on your own while my wife enjoys it in our sun room. It is perfect with no restoration and maybe one of the best quality in decoration that I have had. Many years ago a ladi in the Washington, D.C. Area had a whole set of sacred bird and butterfly and donated it to a museum in Charleston, S.C. It becae so popular that Mottahedeh duplicated this pattern and sells it thru the gift shop of that museun in Charleston. Circa 1820-1840 Chinese Export Celadon Cache Pot that is absolutely beautiful with the celadon light colors mixed with the combination of colorful pink,turquoise, and green flowers,tulips,greenery, and white storks. This is a nice size that is very hard to find. Measures 6" in height and the top opening is 9" in diameter. The hole in the bottom is for water to drain into a underplate that is not available.
