Circa 1990 18” h x 27” wide This is a German paper chromolithograph fan from 1908 that was custom framed by California artist Venetia Thompson for me in the 1990’s. We have used all vintage materials in the mat and trim. Materials include purple silk, green silk velvet, lavender silk lingerie flower and gold bullion trim. The frame which is golden wood was new at the time of framing and shaped in the form of a fan shadowbox.. The piece is in excellent condition and will be coming from my house to yours. Circa 1890. "Stevengraph" silk picture, made by Anderson Bros of Patterson N.J. This charming scene is titled "Betsy Ross Making the First United States Flag". Silk pictures of this type, where originally made in England starting in 1879, by the Stevengraph company. They rapidly became very popular and were made in both England and the United States and are generically referred to as "Stevengraphs" by collectors. This particular, American made silk picture is in exceptional original condition and has probably spent it's entire existence in a frame. The present frame is vintage, gilded wood, that works well with the picture. 13 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" tall, over-all.. « Less
