Estate ring. Platinum set with a 2 carat emerald offset by diamonds. Has Victorian look, but believed to be made much later - possibly 2nd half of 20th century. Measurements and sizes: US ring size 7. Weighs 4.5 grams. Stones: 2 carat emerald; .036ct diamonds. Sold to me as Victorian, but I believe it to be 2nd half of 20th century. Gorgeous, delicate design with lacy openwork finely set with diamonds in filigree platinum, surrounding and framing a beautiful 2 carat, pear-shaped emerald, somewhat raised above the plain of the diamond background and enclosed in a platinum colette. The fine diamond lacey background continues on the shoulders. No hallmarks, but tested as platinum. Very good condition. There are approx. 2.75 to 3 CT's tw of other matched diamonds that are VS I J color. 2 CTs violetish blue medium tone sapphires all of excellent cut and matched. This is a superb example of Tiffany's Art Deco period jewelry at its best in both mastery of design and hand quality workmanship. Just in from a CT estate. It is a rich, clear aqua blue color. The handmade four prong 18 karat yellow gold setting displays the stone in a curved basket mount. The 40 old cut diamonds are all platinum set and average I color and VS-2 clarity. Combined diamond weight 1.20 carats. Combined gem weight 1.7 carats. On either side of the emerald are 2 rows of 9 diamonds each. Along the border are 2 rows of 11 diamonds each. The 40 diamonds measure .03 points each they are perfectly matched very white and fiery stones. From the top of the emerald to the bottom of the ring shank it measures 1 inch.
