Circa: 1880 Dimensions: 46" wide x 19" deep x 69" high Stock Number: E0209-0326 This is a very beautiful English Victorian Dressing Table. It was purchased in Oxford, England. The Dressing Table is made of Mahogany and has a rich, Deep Mahogany Patina. It is in very good condition. The piece has a Mirrored Gallery Back. At the center is an Cathedral Arch Mirror. The Mirror is deeply beveled and can be tilted back and forth. Flanking the Central Mirror are Long Beveled Side Mirrors. They are suspended upon beautiful Mahogany Supports. The Dressing Table has a Sunken Center with a Wide Mahogany Gallery flowing across the back. There are Scalloping Galleries above the Raised Sides. Flanking the Sunken Center are Two Short Drawers with Two Long Drawers below. The Facades of all of the Drawers and the Top of the Dressing Table have an intricate Pattern of Marquetry Banding in Satinwood and Ebony framing the perimeters. The Drawers opens to reveal finely detailed Dove Tail Joints. This is an indication of a very fine Cabinet Maker. The Dressing Table comes with its original hardware. This includes the gorgeous, circular Victorian Back Plates and Drop Pulls. The Dressing Table is supported upon Tapering Quadrangular Legs with their original Casters. Save 10% today... This fabulous early Fenton amethyst carnival bowl is called either Comet or Ribbon Tie. The ribbons of smooth rays radiate from the center to the deep 3 and 1 ruffle. These float over circles of stippled glass making a very handsome pattern indeed. The amethyst bowl has carnival colors that radiate purples, blues, and greens. It does have a wee bit of carnival loss in the center, otherwise it is in excellent condition. This handsome bowl sits on a collar foot and spans 8 3/4" across the rim, and 2 1/4" high. This large basket is quite the find. It has an over-sized twist handle of crystal clear glass. The rim is surrounded by gradated colors - almost like a stain of cranberry red. The body is heavy (4 lbs.) and is clear the shines yellow-green under black light. The bottom shows a finished pontil. All-in-all this lovely glass basket stands ( 1/2" tall to the top of the handle and 10" long. It is in excellent condition.
