For sale I have a Lovely piece of Crystal made by Lalique of Wingen-sur-Moder in Alsace-Lorraine, France. This wonderful piece of Crystal Art is known as the "Concarneau" More »
For sale I have a Lovely piece of Crystal made by Lalique of Wingen-sur-Moder in Alsace-Lorraine, France. This wonderful piece of Crystal Art is known as the "Concarneau" Ashtray or Candy Dish. The Vase stands 1 3/8" tall and is 6 1/4" in diameter from the outside tail measurement. The dish stands 1 7/8" tall to the top of the Tail.
The Crystal Dish displays a wonderful Cut Pattern on Frosted Glass of a Koi Fish Swimming in a Bowl. The meaning of "Koi" in Japanese is "Wild Carp". There are also concave round bubbles throughout the clear crystal glass. Lalique's designs portraits an elegant simplicity. This is sensual blend of frosted and smooth glass complimented by the delicately formed of fluid lines. This piece is painstakingly hand-crafted in France. The graceful nature of clear crystal sets the stage to showcase the masterful craftsmanship and the intricate designs utilized by Lalique. The Tail is raised above the top of the Bowl forming a U and it gracefully holds a Cigarette or Cigar. You can also use this as a Mint or Candy Dish if your would like too.
The Crystal Bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks chips or dings. It is signed on the bottom with and engraved "Lalique France" with the R in a Circle between Lalique and France signature mark. The bottom shows minimal wear as you can only see a few scratches on the bottom side. I believe this to have been in a cabinet most of its life. This piece has substantial weight for its size.
This is a quality piece of Lalique Crystal in excellent condition. I have seen these sell for as high as $650 and my price is no where near this. Those of you who do not know that the "Koi Fish" symbolizes courage, the ability to attain high goals, and overcoming life's difficulties. In China 7 golden Koi is good luck!
I'm sure the lucky buyer will be delighted with their purchase. This was first designed by Rene Lalique in 1941, and it is still in production today. This piece was made Circa 1970-1980. « Less

For sale I have a Lovely Desk Set Item made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Pattern in the Desk Set by Tiffany is the ever Popular Pine Needle Pattern and it is done in Tiffany's Gold Patina. The Item is known as a Bill File or Spindle. The Spindle stands 6 5/8" tall and the foot has a diameter of 3 3/8".
The Spindle displays an Acid Etched Pine Needle Pattern over Beige or Caramel Slag Favrile Glass. The Finish is the ever Popular Gold Plated Finish. Tiffany actually used real 18kt Gold in the Plating Process. The Spindle rises up from a finial on top of the glass and rolls over very much like the shape of a question mark.
The Spindle is considered to be in very good condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips to any of the glass. The Gold Plated finish on the outside is still intact and considered to be very good to excellent. The bottom shows signs of wear as this Spindle was used. There are a few very tiny pin head indents along the outer edge . These are very small and can only be seen upon close inspection. There is an indent to the metal on the bottom side and cannot be seen when displayed. The piece is signed on the bottom with Tiffany's Impressed "Tiffany Studios New York" Signature Mark. There are also the numbers 12534 lightly etched above the Tiffany Studios impressed mark. This was more than likely a special order number.
This is a hard to find item in the Tiffany Pine Needle Set sets. Usually when found there is damage to the Glass under the filigree. I am happy to report that there is No damage to the glass what so ever. This is considered and earlier version of the Tiffany Pine Needle Bill Spindle as there are no Pattern Numbers impressed with the Signature mark. This was known as Pattern number 961 which was the same as the Grapevine Spindle Number. Tiffany started using these Impressed Pattern numbers after 1902.
I would say that this Tiffany Pine Needle Bill Spindle was made Circa 1895-1902. « Less

For Sale I have a Lovely Inkwell made by Tiffany Studios of New York. The Inkwell is done in the "Pine Needle" Pattern. The patina on the metal is the very desirable Gold or as the French Say "Dore'" Patina or Finish. The Stained Glass under the overlay is the Beige or Carmel Slag Favrile Opalescent Glass. The Inkwell stands 3 1/8" Tall and is 3 1/8" Square.
The Inkwell displays an Acid Etched Pine Needle Overlay Pattern on Beige or Caramel Opalescent Glass. The Inkwell sits on 4 Bun Style Feet. The Patina is good but it does show some signs of wear. The Inkwell still has its original Clear Glass Insert for Ink. These are commonly missing from these Inkwells and many times when they are found with them the Inkwell Insert is Damaged. This one is not. It is actually in excellent condition with no chips or dings to the insert.
The Inkwell itself is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, or chips to any of the Glass. There appears to be an ink stains inside the Cap and along the area under the Inkwell Insert. This area also shows sign of wear. I will recommend a little secret in cleaning these Inkwell Stains. You can soak it in Rubbing Alcohol or Ammonia. This will lift the ink quite nicely. I just don't have the time to do this and I will leave that to the winner. The rest of the Gold could be cleaned as it shows signs of dirt. The Buyer could do this very carefully without taking off the finish.
The Hinge is in excellent Condition as the Cover opens and closes with ease. The Inkwell is signed on the bottom with the "Tiffany Studios New York" impressed mark along one side along with the pattern number "845" impressed to the right of it. There is also the numbers 1489 lightly etched above the impressed signature marks. This is my firm belief that this was the Tiffany Studio's way of marking their orders such as an Invoice or work Order Number.
Those of you who are looking for an nice example of this Inkwell in the Pine Needle Pattern will be pleased with their purchase. This piece was made circa 1900-1920. « Less
