Circa 1870 Two Victorian Brass Mirror or Oval Picture Frames. These vintage frames are in good condition with each having a metal leg to suppot the frame for standing up as I have shown. The small one measures 12' in height and 8 1/4" in diameter at the widest point. On the back top is a impressed mark of A E. The other frame is 15 1/2" in height and 10 3/4" in diameter at the widest point. These frames are perfect for pictures or mirrors. Very well done and are quite charming. I would date them from 1870-1900. Good Condition.   « Less

Curca 1820-1840 Chinese Export A very RARE orange Fitzhugh Platter measuring 16" x 13". Fresh out of a very important Estate in Charlottesville, Virginia--"The home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello". This platter is not in Pristine Condition. The platter had black firing marks on it which was done in the making of this beautiful old Fitzhugh Platter. Additional images are available upon request. The images shown below show the sections that have these black marks. There were a couple of nicks on the rim of this platter when we purchased the platter. The nick was restored. In the process of the making of this platter the images will show black pitted marks which happened in the firing in the kiln when they were made in the Early 1800's.   « Less

Circa 1900 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Sauce or Gravy Boat. It has the "china" mark on the base so that dates it after 1891. It measures 7" from spout to handle. The inside is decorated with a famille rose border and a famille rose with a bird inside a gilded circle with butterflies on each side. The outside is decorated with a rose meddallion scene on one side going from spout to handle and a famille rose with greenery with two ducks. The panel just underneath the spout for pouring is a bird with a rose around a gilded circle.   « Less

I have never seen this form in any book. It almost appears to be a derby drinking cup moulded on top of another piece of rose medallion, but it is not. Appearance Only. Circa 1850 Chinese Export Rare three-footed shape rose medallion creamer which is often referred to as a pitcher. This particular form and shape was derived from the early 18TH Century chinese pear shaped silver anmd chinese export forms. This is thew first one we have had in several years. Good Quality with no chips, cracks or restoration. Measures 4" in height and 4" from top of handle to spout.   « Less
