Chinese export armorial plate, of octagonal form, the center painted infamille rose with a pair of pheasants on a rock beneath a peony rose, the rim with two European theme reserves, one with a hunt trophy with dogs & guns beneath a tree, the other with the Valentine pattern, with two doves before an altar supporting two flaming hearts, the upper rim with a martin, the lower rim with the arms of Marten impaling Bidwell.

Unusual small Chinese export lobed bowl, painted to the center with the arms of Clan Brodie of Morayshire, Scotland, with a fist of arrows and UNITE, within a gold ring entwined with laurel, the rim with scrolling gold borders having pendant rose swags, with four shaped cartouche containing classical busts painted in blue, within a brown line rim.
Circa 1745
References: This interesting piece is a rarer form, being a half size soup bowl. The Brodie clan was an ancient Scottish clan, and heavily involved with the Jacobite movement. They were threatened with total destruction in the 1715 uprising, but withheld the English

Chinese export teapot, of globular form with unusual foo dog finial, painted in underglaze blue with a Chinese river scene, including boats and figures on a bridge, with further figures in the large pavilion complex in the foreground, within a wide cell border, the rims and border enhanced with gold lines and a scallop and dot border.
Gilders marks of a triangle to the lid, P to the base,
the Chinese porcelain and pattern circa 1770, the gilt English and shortly after.

Circa 1790
References: No known example could be found in the literature, although there are Continental faience examples from the mid-18th century. The blue ground is typical of later 18th century Chinese Export.

Blue and white jarlet, the neck painted with lotus petal collar, the body with lively chi choe birds and grasses.
Excavated by the Oxford University team from the Hoi An shipwreck, Vietnam.
Hoi An number 38117.
Later 15th Century.
References: This wreck was discovered by fishermen in the late 1990, offshore from the Vietnamese town of Hoi An. The wares are white stoneware, and were made at Chu Dau, near Hanoi, where an excavated kiln site of the period matched the wares exactly. The ship was « Less
