A fabulous antique Art Deco bathroom doorknob set with matching plates, dating from the 1920’s or 1930’s. This set includes a pair of plates and a pair of knobs with the connecting spindle and set screws. Like most antique bathroom sets, this features a chrome doorknob and thumb-turn plate for the inside of the bathroom, to coordinate with the plumbing fixtures, while the outside features a darker plate that would coordinate with the rest of the hardware in the house. The backplates feature an unusual elongated shape with an overlapped border, and the doorknobs are ornamented with a matching design, with a triangular shape in the middle of the knob. A magnificent pair of antique double-arm Art Deco sconces, dating from the 1920’s. These figural sconces are made of cast iron and feature a bird with outspread wings and bowed head. The two sconce arms are ornamented with sunbursts; a matching sunburst surrounds the switch at the base of the backplate. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The slipper shades feature a graceful volute design, and the chandelier frame is ornamented with ziggurats on a textured background. A fabulous large antique Art Deco four-light chandelier with glass panels, dating from the 1920’s. This lantern features a hexagonal canopy with three rods coming down to support the chandelier body. The chandelier features a ziggurat shape with three tiers of white glass panels. It is bordered at the top in a geometric design, with floral and volute detail extending down the sides of the top tier. This light fixture is in very good antique condition; that a couple of the protruding leaves on the chandelier are broken off as shown. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
