A pair of Worcester part transfer, mostly hand painted plates, C1868, depicting flowers on a white ground. Each plate is 9 1/2inchses in diam. A turquoise border surrounded by gold. White ground is handpainted with sprigs of red, white and pink flowers and leaves in shades of green. Impressed Worcester marks underneath - very difficult to photograph. Platter in Imari pattern made by Derby, predecessor of Royal Crown Derby, England, between 1782 and 1820.Measures 19 3/4inches accross.One of a set of 3 platters (the others are 13inches and 16 1/4inches respectively)Rounded rectangular shape with frilly edges, bordered by a gold line with moulded shells on the edge. Iron red and gold flowers with blue scrolling stems form the border pattern. The well of the platter is painted in the same palette of iron red, cobalt blue and gold in a stylised floral pattern.The back has the standard factory mark for 1782-1820.Condition is good considering the age of the piece. Royal Worcester, England, platter or shallow bowl. Diameter is 9''. Shaped border with moulded floral and scrolling sides. The rims are gold trimmed. The entire surface of the plate is covered with a blue and white dragon amidst symbolic Chinese clouds. A snake-like samller dragon seems to fly up to meet him. the back is marked in underglaze blue with Royal WOrcester''s mark and the letter ''K''. Also an impressed mark. Made by Wedgwood, England, Large Blue and White bowl with architectural, nautical and floral decoration. Slightly flow blue. Measures: 3 3/4'' high; diam is 8 1/2''. Wonderful views of castles, forts and towns ( FERRARA??), with boats and ships in the foreground. Inside upper rim has margin, over 2'' wide of flowers. The transfers end suddenly and there are clear areas where the patterns join. Marks: Impressed Wedgwood and model number. Blue underglaze marks ''FERRARA; ETRURIA ENGLAND; and WEDGWOOD. Also a large blue underglaze ''C''. Condition: very good. No chips/cracks of any sort. There are 3 small dots in a circle where the glaze does not quite cover the surface - probably due to something touching the piece in the kiln and not to be seen as damage. 3 Coalport cabinet plate with handpainted bird painting, rich gilding and jewels. Made england.Measures 8 3/4inches in diameter.Wavy-edged gilded rim with moulded and gilded bows. Minutely detailed background pattern in green and gold. A golden ring with blue and white flowers and foliage alternating with raised gilded stylised plants and further embellished with tiny gold jewels. The inner golden circle has a double pattern of raised triangles. The central round reserve is painted with a beautiful long-beaked purple, puce and green bird flying over a woodsy landscape with pink and lemon coloured flowers. Trees in the background. The plate is signed with the Coalport mark for 1881-1920 and has impress number 202. Further red handwritten numbers near the rim on the back.Condition is very good.Painting and gilding are clear, unfaded and rich. Perfume / scent bottle or cruet with applied flowers. Came with a very old lable stating that it is a scent bottle made by the DERBY factory, circa 1820. Similar pieces of unmarked Minton porcelain found in Godden''s book on British pottery and porcelain page 227. Godden points out that in the first quarter of the 19th century, much Minton porcelain was not marked and much of it immitated Meissen / Dresden porcelain, which is true of this item.9inches high.Round base with pink, yellow and green, raised moulded flowers and foliage in a pretty ring. The body is richly applied with porcelain flowers - roses, tulips, daisies etc. The scrolling rococo handle is richly gilded and has a fan of raised turquoise foliage under the gilded foliage. The stopper is a tour de force of applied flowers of every sort. Fantastic fine detail to petals, stamen and ovaries inside the blooms. No clear factory marks. Condition: the usual chips to some of the petals, but otherwise, good shape. Punch and Judy with a child and frog, flow blue transferware dish made in Staffordshire, England, 19th century.Measures 1inch high and 4 1/2inches in diameter.Fabulous scene showing this warring couple of puppets. Judy, dressed in granny glasses and bed bonnet holds a baby - about as ugly as she is. Punch, with his harlequin cap and wand spouting smoke. In the foreground is a frog, also in a night cap, smoking a pipe. Definately looks the most intelligent of the group. Beautiful flowers and foliage in concentric circles around them, up to the rim.Marks: brown inked impressed mark says Staffordshire England.Condition is very good.
