Exceptional sculpted model figure bust of a young woman by Alfred Stellmacher (later RStK ) made Teplitz Austria between 1884-94.14inches high. Cream tone colours with surface textureof the skin being amazingly life-like. A young girl in Victorian dress with huge bow in her hair on a naturalistic pedestal base, with applied flowers and berries in immitation of a tree trunk.The modelling is exceptional - hands and face are amazingly realistic and the expression and character shown in the face are quite superior to even the best quality busts normally seen.She wears a very finely detailed dress. Marked underneath with the violet stamp (partly erased) AS-1, used by Alfred Stellmacher from 1884-1894. MINT condition. No chips/cracks/damage/losses/restoration of any sort. Signed handpainted peacock Locke Worcester sugar and creamer in figural silver plate stand with birds. England, 1900-1904. Stand by Walker and Hall, Sheffield.Total height is 7 1/2inches.Cream body with orange-tan variations, raised moulded acanthus leaves and gilded rims and highlights. Each piece is handpainted with a brightly coloured, crowned peacock in a naturalistic setting. Hint of blue sky. Great detail.Each piece is signed by the artist: I LEWIS and marked in green underneath with the Shrub Hill Works mark, used between 1900-4.THe sugar has a wonderful repousse lid with openwork for scattering the sugar, done in classic Georgian style. Silver plate stand on round legs with double long-beaked dragon/bird finial on top. Fully marked by the facory underneath. (Walker and Hall and Hard & Silver soldered).Excellent condition. Potpourri and openwork cover made by Worcester Grainger, 1870-80 in the George Owen reticulated style.Just under 3 1/2inches high and 4 1/2inches from side to side.Exquisitely modelled in cream porcelain with scrolling handles like folded acanthus leaves, at either end. All edges gilded. Naturalistically floral-form finial with rich gilding.Openwork of cover resembles a symbolic Celtic tree and pattern of bottom openwork is also Celtic in it''s interlacing overlapping design.Both lid and pot are marked with the Grainger mark used 1870-80 (no England/Made in England).
