20TH Century Limoge Old Abbey Individual Oyster Serving Dish measuring 8 1/4" X 9 1/4" and 2 1/4" in depth. This is a very unique piece that I have never seen before. I am very aware of the value of the different factories in Limoge,France that produced the many different companies such as Haviland and many others. Oyster Plates are very collectible especially on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This is a form that I have not seen before. It appears to me to be a oyster server for Two Oysters in their shells. We have seen the many oyster plates attributed to many companies in Limoge, France. They usually measured about 8" in diameter and had six to eight opening to put a complete oyster shell in. This is a oyster server for only two oysters. It is marked Old Abbey Limoges on the bottom and also Limoges,France. Abbey is one of many companies in Limoge that date from the late 19TH. Century. Mid 20TH Century Old English Staffordshire Ware Plate made in Staffordshire, England by The Adams Potteries, Established in 1657. This plate was imported exclusively for Mount Vernon Shops, Mount Vernon, Va. This plate is in Excellent Condition and measures 9 3/4" in diameter. I believe the design is in the Mulberry Pattern. Circa 1840 Chinese Export Sacred Bird and Butterfly nice size teapot. This rare teapot in chinese export porcelain is in the sacred bird and butterfly pattern. Very nicely decorated in orange colors with birds, butterflies and plants. Teapots in this pattern are not as plentiful as are ones in the famille rose and blue canton patterns. This nice dainty teapot measures 3 1/2" in height and is 5" from top of handle to the end of the spout. Very Good Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. 17TH Century Circa 1664 Architectural Fountain Engraving. Published in Nuremberg, Germany in 1664 by Paul Furst. This original engraving is from the work of work by George Andreas Bockler(1648-1685)titled "Architectura Curiosa Nova." Architectura Curiosa Nova is a comprehensive 17TH-Century Overview of Fountains of Europe. It shows many examples of fountains and the differing effects that can be created by the flow of water through them. This 7 1/2" wide 11" engraving is on "soft white, chain-lined paper" that is in Excellent, Crisp Condition for a work of art that is now almost 350 years of age and there is no foxing. The last owner had this engraving professionally framed under glass with a double mat which compliments it very nicely. Carved Dark Wood Frame measures 15" X 18 1/4".
